Your 435 did look excellent.
I know I've bored everyone senseless with how good I think the 1025 is! But given my view of the connection between the 1025 and 435, I actually suggested to a mate of mine who was interested in my 735A to have a think about getting your 435 instead. Too late now, but glad it's gone to good home.
So what's the dream Yamaha you're getting?
The 435 I had was unusually good, I’d tried quite a few and this one was special. I also paid a fair bit to have the fingerboard rolled, and had the frets levelled and dressed by my favourite techs at Feline Guitars, so it is a bass in as-new condition that plays way better than a new one.
I got an early 90s mk1 TRB-5P with John East electronics on this very forum, the bass I dreamed about as a teenager after falling in love with a Abraham Laboriel’s playing. We couldn’t afford it at the time, but my dad managed to negotiate a crazy good price on a floor-model TRB6 that was my first bass and that I still have (and have upgraded with a Glockenklang pre).

Having sold my 435 last week to finance an upgrade to a dream Yamaha, I am sadly now BB-less too. @Happypants seems very happy with it though!

I’m very lucky to have two pre-CBS Precisions, which have solved my old-school P gas pretty much completely. This is my 64, running DI through my Noble:
For a more modern P sound, my Dingwall Super P5, my Sadowsky NYC P/J and my recently acquired Yamaha TRB-5P all sound absolutely phenomenal. The first two have the Sadowsky pre, the Yamaha has a John East. The BB435 I sold recently also sounded incredible.

Placed an order for the 1505SMS (always wanted a short-multi-scale) with Andertons at the weekend, then the due date was pushed back a month to the 5th March on Monday. Therefore it'll be a slightly late birthday present, but I'll share it here when it arrives.
Do you have a link? Can only find the 1000SMS

I’ve heard great things about these.

Yes, the photo is there every time we visit, but the point is we don’t get the same new thread every two days.

A ruler or measuring tape would sort out the scale ambiguity pretty quick.
-
I really shouldn’t be doing this... but what’s the weight?
-
I have a Strat body in a similar colour, still trying to decide what to have but thinking tort.

Nigel sold me a Glockenklang pre - easy transaction, thanks so much!

Oh, I thought it said 4.6kg, which is the weight of my TRB-5Px
5.1kg is the weight of my TRB6, so still about right 👍

That’s pretty light for a JP2!

That’s lovely. Is it short scale?

Quick load, I like!

Jason bought my BB435 in a quick, easy, socially distanced transaction. Thanks mate, enjoy her!

Super easy and slick transaction with Woolf, obtaining the TRB5P I’ve dreamed of since teenagerhood! Thank you.

Nicest guy around, if I didn’t already have an Eminence that I don’t play enough, would be seriously tempted by the price of this!
