  1. Ash body with bound maple neck and black- marked fingerboard. The neck and body have both been refinished (but nicely done) with clear gloss. The gloss is also above the worn area. Neck pocket shows no sign of paint so I assume it’s always been natural. Neck butt has no visible stamp date but apparently is not unusual. Pots are ser.No. 304-7218 dating 72. The pickups are 802 & 8302 which I think refers to 1972 also. Pickup covers are quite thick so I’m assuming original. Its a heavy bass above 11lbs but is compensated with great playability, rock solid, tight low end and singing tone. Comes with original 70’s case in nice condition although the silver Fender logo is missing. Any further pics on request. Welcome here to trial first/whatever. Covid rules observed. Cheers Geoff 07757296948
  2. I’ve also gone back to the 400. God knows when it’ll get action again.
  3. What can I do with three?!
  4. 2008 USA model just after the S-1 switch had been discontinued from the Precisions.
  5. Fantastic value. Is the price just for the pictures!? You must be as daft as me. E/V speakers?! Thump and clarity. GLWT Giveaway.
  6. Listen to this bloke, wrong style but he’ll tell you where it’s made
  7. Hello again Tom, Indonesia. The made in Germany anything around £2k. China, don’t know.
  8. Price now £395 but I’m beginning to love it
  9. Bumpy. The picture above is the Made in Germany one. This is the Designed in Germany model but still superior to the Epi Viola etc.
  10. It sure is. These Jap series Mustangs are a bit like the JV bass range, where it took some time for bassists to realise how good they were/are.
  11. Covid bump (negative here)
  12. Yes, I can ship as it’s got a hard case of which I’d add a bit of bubble wrap inside and protect the case with heavy duty cardboard.
  13. Hope you can feel the difference 😅
  14. Well Ez, I’ve got a 2008 Precision with 40mm nut width for sale if that helps
  15. Originally put wrong link for Shambo, must be my age
  16. Bought this from Shambo in April. Great bass in all areas. The way things are going, it could be another 12 months before playing again and I’ll be approaching 73. I’ve been trying to give up gigging for some time now but it’s in my blood, however, this pandemic could be the signal. I did change the flats for new rounds. Would probably go back to flats. Very reluctant sale, beats USA make IMO. Includes hard Gator case. 17. Cheers Ash, it’s got quite a lot of resonance even with the flats. Some guys that do these utube demos are good players but seem to have lost what bass is.
  18. During this depressing epidemic, I saw an advert in ‘Joinmyband’ requiring an experienced bass player to form a trio. After several comms it sounded positive and I got quite excited about learning new material and I bought this bass. A few weeks later the main guy said that the drummer had lost interest and doesn’t want to gig anymore. I didn’t even meet them. Anyway, the bass is for sale. As new condition. Fabulous sound. 19. Not much promotion on these, they don’t need it. Brilliant cab
