  1. IExcellent bass amp. (Italy) Plenty of power depth and tone. First class working order with carry case. There's no need to take it out of the case when gigging, zip up and good night lads. Welcome to trial here through my Vans or bring your own cab, observing Covid rules. Can post/ship. Geoff Ive copied some light reading from elsewhere about this model (goes on a bit): To celebrate this great honor, Marco De Virgiliis has created the Markbass Little Mark II Marco Limited Edition 08. Only 500 will be produced, and each one will be tested, approved, and signed by Marco personally. This collector's item will not last. The Markbass Little Mark II is a stunning bass amp head that combines great sound, compact size, and light weight. Its small size makes the Little Mark II easy to transport, yet with a 4-band EQ, VLE (Vintage Loudspeaker Emulator) and VPF (Variable Pre-shape Filter), its tone is nothing short of professional. The I/O includes an input that can handle both passive and active basses and an extra XLR balanced input for double bass pickups. Its Neutrik Speakon Combo out jacks work with 1/4" or Speakon speaker cables. A tuner out jack sends unbalanced signals to a tuner, amp, or recording equipment. Send and return effect jacks maintain your main signal even if something dies in your effects chain. 2. I’ll have to leave it with them. Mustn’t advertise when I’ve had a drink. My wife will be in with steak and chips in a minute. Thanks fir message
  3. Ash body with rosewood on maple neck. I swapped the original black scratchplate (included), with a pearl one. The scull can easily be removed. I had thought of walking into Superdrug with the bass and getting a nail varnish colour match for the nicks but with this Covid lark I never got round to it, best left anyway. The bass is No. is F03028 and is referenced here http://www.musicmanbass.global/serials-sterling/ Comes with Musicman hard shell case. Welcome to try out here in Coseley West Midlands before sale, observing distancing. Some spec: Scale Length: 34" (86.4 cm) Neck Radius: 11" (27.9 cm) Neck Width: 1-1/2" (38.1 mm) at nut, 2-1/2" (63.5 mm) at last fret Controls: 3-band active preamp; vol, treble, mid, bass Switching: 3-way lever pickup selector Pickups: Music Man humbucking with ceramic magnets and hum cancelling phantom coil Cheers, Geoff
  4. Early logo Westone Thunder 1A bass all original and excellent condition. Both toggle switches pressed down bypass the active 18V electronics and gives the standard Thunder 1 tone, which IMO is as good or even better than the Precision. Probably down to what looks like a Dimarzio pickup. Volume, active and passive tone controls. Active on/off and ‘dual tone’ switches. These can assist a slap tone or produce a big reggae thump. Warm, balanced note volume throughout, nice action, solid as a rock and sounds as beefy as it looks. Selling due to boredom. Lovely example.
  5. In excellent condition and working order. Big MB sound with plenty of power. Slightly bigger than the MKII’s. I’ve used it live (if I can remember that far back! ) leaving it inside the case unzipped. Amp size 305mmW x 85mmH incl. feet x 355mm dp incl. knobs. Apparently these amps are far and few between in UK. I’ve found a guy using one of these on utube ‘Vanderkley EXT112 (Jam)’ to give you a flavour. Welcome to test here if you can walk it! May have to ship at an agreed rate. Cheers Geoff
  6. If interested, I would look in the ‘Serials Stirling’ section of that site and maybe the bass is registered. Mine is F03028
  7. Have another bump. Looks more like a ‘vintage blue Pearl’
  8. I see nearly everything is stagnated at the moment (not the speaker)
  9. I can send it through a courier of course. Do you want to arrange your own and/or shall I weigh it and work out the size with cardboard etc?
  10. I knew I’d got one somewhere. Good quality Fender soft case included.
  11. Early model. Sounds great, if not meatier than my Precision. If I wasn’t a snob I’d sell my Fender instead. I think the factory fitted pickup is a Dimarzio which obviously creates that big warm sound. All notes balanced in volume. Knobs not original. You can see from the headstock the body was black but somewhere along the line someone did a pro job and stripped it. I was thinking of buying a vinyl skin laminate for the front of the body but I can’t be bothered now. I’m losing heart a bit, even though I’ve just bought another MB head so I’m not going to give in/up. It will all kick off again hopefully around Autumn. Geoff Coseley West Midlands

  15. I know you’d rather sell than read nice messages, BUT, I must say a great year 3-4 years either side. I too have a similar Precision. I replaced the push button with a standard 250k pot, whipped out the original pickup and replaced with a DiMarzio DP122 and it plays over the moon. Unfortunately like everybody else, my last gig was in March.
  16. Output power 500W RMS @ 4ohms / 300W RMS @ 8 ohms. Excellent working order and nice condition. Having stood by Trace Elliot for many years I finally bit the bullet and went lightweight. I always thought a nice weighty amp with a nice meaty transformer was the dogs. After testing out many class d heads, Gallien, Genz, going back to TH500 three times, even Boogie 800, I wasn’t convinced...until I tried an Italian made Markbass head. I had used a Markbass combo years ago but was put off with the overall sound from the speakers. After reading so much positivity about Markbass amps, I went and bought a head to try with my Vans. I was so impressed with the amp/combination I went out and bought another two MB heads. Having you read my trumpet, I can assure you these heads are fantastic (just lay off the VLE and VLF) No gigs for a while yet, like thousands. I’m basically selling this for something to do and not too bothered if it doesn’t sell. But it’s a good price. Includes protective brief case. Welcome to try/test here observing Covid.....if you can walk it for exercise. Can obviously post at buyers expense with an agreed rate. Cheers Geoff. http://www.markbass.it/product-detail/little-mark-iii/
  17. Jazz now withdrawn. I advertised this for a friend but as soon as you state that, folk get suspicious, including me. Anyway, it played great and he took it away and I think p/x’d for a Ricki. Thanks for your interests. Geoff
  18. Ash body with bound maple neck and black- marked fingerboard. The neck and body have both been refinished (but nicely done) with clear gloss. The gloss is also above the worn area. Neck pocket shows no sign of paint so I assume it’s always been natural. Neck butt has no visible stamp date but apparently is not unusual. Pots are ser.No. 304-7218 dating 72. The pickups are 802 & 8302 which I think refers to 1972 also. Pickup covers are quite thick so I’m assuming original. Its a heavy bass above 11lbs but is compensated with great playability, rock solid, tight low end and singing tone. Comes with original 70’s case in nice condition although the silver Fender logo is missing. Any further pics on request. Welcome here to trial first/whatever. Covid rules observed. Cheers Geoff 07757296948
  19. I’ve also gone back to the 400. God knows when it’ll get action again.
