1. Hi,

Now two pedals for sale.......shedding some gear to pay for other stuff, and these are my least used bits.

Dunlop Crybaby 105q
Great wah, but I dont use wah other than for 5 mins in my bedroom, and I'll sell when these are in. This is boxed and in good condition (theres a small bit of paint - about 5mm - scratched off on the underside) and I bought it about 8 months ago. Looking for £65 posted.

Boss PS-6 Harmonist Pitchshifte - SALE PENDING
[s]PS-6 Harmonist Pitchshifter
I've had this for around 9 months or so. Used it for a short time rehearsals and bedroom, but realised I never play anything that utilises either of these. It seems to track pretty well (I use a 5 string), although progressively more precision required on anything under a G. You can also hook up an expression pedal to it, although can adjust the time for pedal operartion. Good pedal for some weird and wonderful stuff. Can get close to that tool kind of thing as well. It's boxed with instructions in great condition. Used only in bedroom and a few rehearsals. Looking for £90 £75 posted.

Here's a pic with both on my board. PS-6 top right, crybaby centre stage. They're now off the board and in their boxes.

Happy to post, but I can also meet Bedford or London - Kings x, london bridge, liverpool street areas. Drop me a line with any queries,

cheers
Andy

2. Hi All,

Well, I've bought a house and don't have a band at the moment. Consequently (to pay for either a carpet or wardrobe, or something equally as exciting), I'm selling one of my Compacts (boo).

I think most of you are up to speed on these. Very nice cabs, stupidly light, and loud with the right amp! I've gigged this one about 3 times and had a couple of rehearsals. Its the steel grill version, non tweeter and weighs around 12kg as advertised on the barefaced site.

I'm looking for £375 collected. I could meet early morning at london bridge or kings cross (7/8ish) or weekends.

This is'nt a recent picture, but its in the same condition. Unscathed:

Any questions let me know, thanks for looking

3. Thanks BassBod. Yeah, thats what I thought would be the best move. Might struggle to get to blackheath though.

Any recommendations for anyone more central? I'll give the bass gallery a shout and my normal guitar tech, I'm just unsure if EUBs are a specialist skill so dont want to pay for someone to look at it without a recommendation on here.

4. Hi Guys,

Forgive my ignorance on this matter, but are there any EUB techs you can recommend to give mine a once over?

Also, for my own knowledge about these things, are there specific EUB/DB techs, or can any bass tech do the same?? Secondly, I'm aiming to bow more than finger style (if I ever manage to learn!), does the bass need setting up any differently to accommodate this?

I had my first hack around yesterday and managed to get a few decent (bloody awful! :) ) results, but wondered if I needed to raise the bridge slightly or whether there was anything else??

I figure its going to be much better to hand it over to someone who knows what they're doing, so any recommendations on people would be gratefully recieved. I'm west london, but work east end so anywhere there or between would be great.

Something I've kinda just thrown myself into without really doing a lot of reading up on, or having any sort of understanding!!

Thanks :)

5. For the wwah, you caould always try a weeping demon - unless its just an auto you're after? its switchable betweena bass and a guitar setting. I used to use either and it sounded pretty good.

A turbo rat might be worth a try as well for distortion type tones. Used to have one, and liked it quite a bit on bass. A few people round here use em i think. - edit: this doesnt have a blend though!! sorry!

Hope this is of some help!!

6. Drums - Joey Jordison (slipknot)
Guitar/backing vox - Mikael Åkerfeldt (Opeth)
Guitar - Tony Iommi (Sabbath)
Keys - Janne Wirman (Children of Bodom)
Vocals - Cliff Richard :)

I can see this band going places!.....a summer holiday perhaps??

7. I was sat in row ZZ to the left on the 4th tier, stage left, I'm guessing I'll have seen some of your heads from up there!!

Great show, but the sound from where I was was really muddy and boomy - the kick drum seemed to be the most prevalent sound down low - the bass was indistinguishable most of the time to my ear. I dont feel like the arena's PA'd properly or something. How was the sound form those of you who werent touching the roof?

In the rare moments where I caught a whiff of a balanced sound, it was great. I thought they absolutely rocked, and loved the set!

8. Just scored free tickets from a guy at work that has managed to squeeze himself into a box!! :) :) :D

Never seen Rush, and been into them for only about 5 years or so, but really, really excited about tomorrow night!! I'm hoping the O2 will be a better sound than some of the above venues....I find it hit or miss there, even though most rave about it...

9. Hi,

For sale, looking for £60 including postage for this top fuzz pedal.

Really versatile, blend knob is great. I only use one fuzz and just picked up an sfx which im loving at the moment.

This is in great condition, built like a tank.

Ill post a picture tomorrow morning. Any questions, give me shout.
Cheers

10. V2s already landed. They have it at effectpowersupply.com. (im not affiliated). Already got mine on my board but havent payed wiyh the defeat really.
Very strange. Does it have anything to do with the lack of speakons?

I know Genz are very hot on the use of Speakons...

Bit of a shame. Tech 21 make amazing pedals/pre amps....all they need is to make a micro 500W and perhaps even a 900W version and they will absolutely fly off the shelves.

Or, as per the Talkbass thread, the very slim rack-pre VT for those wanting to use a poweramp.

Im still waiting for Version 2 of the VT Bass to hit the UK.
