1. Yep, Series 6, I still have one of these, great amps, much "gruntier " ( punchier ) than the later Trace stuff. Quite heavy, but an easier lift than the horizontal 2 x 10, as only 19 inches wide. Go through doors easier too.
2. Hiya, Trace Elliot did a great 4 x 12 sealed cab, to go with their Valve series amps. Superb sound, and go for peanuts ! Did one without a tweeter, Heavy cabs, though .
3. Great for practising, using the built in drums. Stops the "falling asleep to the metronome" syndrome, or is that just me ?
4. No one need a really well made Bass case that's at least 75 to 80 mm longer than the norm ?
5. Hi, I bought this when my Tuner " disapeared ", great little tool, but I need something simpler. Now I have a Boss tu12, so this has to go. Great for practice, with drum effect inbuilt, and headphone out. £29 plus pnp.
6. Hi, When Roger Giffin shipped me my Bass from the USA, he packed it in an oversized TKL Bass case for protection. This was then also double packed. The case is the usual top quality TKL build, and is 51 inches long, compared with the std 48 inches. Now, my bass is medium scale, so I have never used the case, only stored basses in it. Must be just the job for a long scale Bass. Will check inside dims, and put up photo's when I can. Asking £99, collected, West Sussex.
7. Hi, Up for sale is my Trace Elliot BLX150 cabinet, the later model, green carpeted, with the more powerful speaker, and a built in Tweeter. I have removed the amp head, as I am keeping it for a spare, so what we have here is an extention cab for a BLX series, so that you get the full output from your amp. Just needs a blanking plate, where the amp went. Will post photo's when I get a chance. This was my practice setup, in my office, for many years, so is in good clean, condition. Need the space now, so only £79, collected from West Sussex
8.
Great! I'm getting excited already
Hi , Could I add my name to the list, for when book is available, Ta ! Thanks Mike
9.
What's the string spacing on this? (asks the man who said he isn't going to buy another 5 string)
Hi, Sorry it takes me so long to reply, but I've measured the string spacing, and can't decide if it's 16 mm or 17 mm, at the Bridge. So the answer is .........16 or 17 mm....or thereabouts. Hope that helps. I used to think the spacing was quite close, but I've been playing my Aria sb1000 a lot recently, and suddenly the Fender dosn't seem close.
10. Hi, Won't be selling the Neo 2x12 untill I've sold the HD350 I'm afraid. One step at a time. (Ps I hope someone isn't going to put a link to their advert here, that would be inapropriate !)
11. Hi, Having ventured into the word of the newer Hi Fi bass amps, I find I prefer my Old School amps. So, I'm going to sell my EBS HD350, that I bought on basschat 'bout October. Condition is superb, and the sound is fabulous, but I bought an Alembic pre, and now that's all I want to use. happy to demo, if you can make it to nearby Portsmouth. Absolutely no trades, sorry. May be wiiling to sell the EBS neo 2 x 12 that I got with it, but haven't made my mind up yet. As usual, will post picks, but I'm always a bit slow at doing that, so apologies in advance. Amp now Sold, Thank you all for your interest.
12. PM Replied........on Hold
13. For Sale, I have a pair of Linn Isobarik Hi Fi Speakers, bought new in the 70's.( or very early 80's, can't remember) These were the dogs dangly's in their day, and are still very impressive (especially the low bass ), if you have the right gear to go with them. I ran them through my Tandberg 3000 series pre/power amp setup, and the sound was (is) to die for. I moved to a smaller house ( it was 11 years ago, and I 've just let go ), where they were deemed to be too big by the management, so don't get used. Thought I'd offer them on here, JIC, in the hope that they won't sell ! Then at least I tried ! Price is SOLD, Please don't tell you friends !
14. Hi, I've seen another Amp I'd like to buy, so I'm offering my Ampeg SVT 350 bass amp head for sale. Condition is very good, with one small mark on the facia, and a couple of replacement (similar) knobs. ( also, the fuse holder has popped into the amp, simple fix) It's been my spare, so hasn't had a lot of use in my ownership. The price is £295, collected from West Sussex.

17. Hi, Could pop this in the car, and take to next weekends SE BASS BASH, if anyone is interested, still haven't sorted photo's. I am going to the next " procrastinators anonymous" meeting, but I keep putting it off ! Mike.
18. Hi Justin, Too far to drive , for me . I do have a pair of Altec 418 's, ( the Alnico version of yours ) so I think I'll use those. Thanks for the offer, though ! Best Wishes Mike.
19.
interesting offer - I'm just off to get some further info on the unit - I guess by your location I would need to check out shipping options for the speakers too? I have to say due to the circumstances I would have to give preference to someone who could collect them. anyways will check out the blue thunder & come back to you.
Hi, Where abouts are you ? Don't like carriers, so I'm just back from a 9 hour drive after collecting something I really wanted ! Thanks Mike
20. Hi, Would you be interested in an as new Rocktron Blue Thunder, nice light "no amp " option ?
21. Go For it, it'a no brainer !! It's not the big Horn Cab , but should still sound good. For outdoor gigs, I use an old Acoustic corp 2 x 15 cab, but I replaced the speakers with Eminence 3015's. Bloody awsome. Go for it ! ( I've also got a 70's Orange 1 x 15 cab, thats great too, but it does have the EV speaker, not ( what looks like ) the fanes in the cab your looking at..Btw, just had a thought, get them to tell you the measurements, make sure they are 15's, Orange did a lot of PA and Disco gear using 12 " fanes .
22.
This all valve? Interested mate
What we have here is a nice point to point wired power amp, running either 6 Kt88's or 6550's, with a simple valve preamp. Very powerfull. Added to this, in the case, is the Trace GP11 MK5 preamp, should you need eq, and effects return. The two preamps are independant of one another, in fact, I think ( but only think ) the amp was available without the GP11.
23. Mark, Thanks for the fantabulous Ampeg V4b, its everything you said it was, and more. Recommended ! Mike
