Understandable, however, I've taken guitars appart and a Squire neck will not fit in a Yamaha body because the end bit(heel?) is a different shape.

Claypool supposedly used to practice whilst watching TV. I guess as the mind is focused on something else

I saw him at Bestival, and whilst his bass playing was on a par with no one, the music just too much! We left after 10 minutes because the treble and distortion was physically hurting our ears

I've seen a Schecter set up to B-E-A-D straight out of the shop Or was it a Warwick?

Oh sorry about that, I'm close to Guildford, Surrey, and Portsmouth. Jim Bob, the bass certainly has the same offset body type as a Jazz bass, but no, not entirely Some information regarding the hardware, the pickups are the original Tobias soapbars, but the pre-amp is an EMG BQS 3-band eq. The bridge is a Wilkinson. The only slight nick on it is on the upper horn, and is barely noticable. If anybody would like pictures I'll be happy to sort them out. Where abouts would I measure string spacing from?

Selling my Toby Pro sixer basically because it doesn't get the attention it deserves anymore, and will hopefully fund some near endless G.A.S. The bass is thru neck [maple and wenge construction w/ rosewood board] with maple wings, in cherry red. Fitted with a Wilkinson bridge [the originals are meant to be kak - yes, the stock bridge was absolute garbage! Rich] and the preamp is an EMG BQS 3-band eq. The string spacing at the bridge is 17mm and 10mm at the nut. It weighs 10lbs. [thanks to Rich for the ACTUAL info ] Looking for £350 ono. Possibly trade, but the dollars would be prefered. Located nr Guildford, Portsmouth, but can deliever within reason. Cheers, Will

Installing an active passive switch.

so I would be taking the wires from the pickup to 3 and 4? then to the preamp from say 1 and 2, and to the output from 5 and 6? can i attach two sets of wires to the output? sorry, i'm a major electrical n00b -
Hi guys. I have a Cort GB34 with active preamp, but I'm wanting to install a switch to send the MM pickup either hot to the output, or through the preamp. I've been to maplins and bought a DPDT togglre switch, but I'm confused as to how to wire it, because there are six posts under the switch - http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?Module...40&DOY=19m7. If any of you could help I'd be apreciative Thanks, Will

I'm after the same thing, just wondering about creating live sub bass for dubstep, me and a DJ mate are trying some stuff out but my bass isn't dubby enough. Has anyone heard Drumsound & Bassline feat. Skibadee - Big Tings? NASTY bass http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9EkaUOKAvw If my bass sounded like that, I'd have found tonal BLISS ...noisy bliss

Hello. I'm planning to build a bass-reflex cab for my car. The current box I have is useless, and building my own would be awesome. Any help as to how abouts I'd go about this would be brilliant, mainly in relation to size, volume, design etc. My driver is a Kicker Comp15 rated at 800W t 4ohms. I know this is a bass forum, and I am a bassist, but I don't know where else to go Help appreciated guys Cheers Will
