Hi guys Im currently on the hunt for a new bass I play in a metal band and we tune to drop A ( v low ) I had my eyes on either SR 520 or ESP Surveyor I bought a SR 520 but the build quality and tone etc was not half as good as I had expected, when I tuned to drop A ,adjusted neck etc it didnt sound like much either. I own an Ibanez K5 and the difference in build quality & sound is massive I dont like the 520 and feels quite cheap... So Im gonna send back the SR 520 and go for something else Im on the hunt for a 4 string that will hold low tuning and a big sound Price range £650 ish Has anyone any recommendations Cheers

Im on the hunt for a new bass and narrowed it down to the above Ibanez SR 520 or ESP Surveyor Has anyone experience / feedback on either I play in a metal band and am looking for a phat tone These basses are not sold locally sold do not have an option of trying before buying I would be swaying towards the ibanez - due to slim neck and lightweight body Thanks

Hi guys I have an old 1994 Aria pro 2 igb 30 and looking for some info. I want to get new pickups, I aint too clued up on new pickups etc. and whats out there at the minute I want to install active pickups, what active pickups will fit this bass? I play in a metal band and use a K5 kinda gettin sick of it, The aria is just an old one gathering dust so was thinkin of doin it up and using the 4 string Which would be the best pickups for the aria for the powerful tones, Bartolonis etc? Will this bass still sound like sh*t with new pickups, would I be best off sellin the K5 keeping my money and putting it towards sumet like a -cheaper range warwick <£800 budget Cheers guys any help in the right direction would be great!
