  1. This one is a bit special. Started as ebony/black special edition. Now has: Aguilar preamp. (vol, blend, stacked B&T) 2 x Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounders. Hipshot lollipop tuners. Routed for weight reduction. Now 4.3kg or 9lb 7oz. Anodised pickguard. Fully shielded. Case. All work by actual luthier, not me! Can ship 4 string trades possible, but only posh ones 😂🛳️

  2. Bought new December 2024. Light home practice only. DELANO SBC series bass pickups are dual or quad-coil electric bass humbuckers in the classic bass soapbar shapes, available for four, five, six and seven-string basses. They represent the leading edge in dedicated bass transducer technology. Unbelievably full and open sound throughout the entire spectrum with tight bottom, airy midrange and heavenly harmonics unrivalled by ANY other bass pickup. Finally your bass CAN sound like it should. Available as individual units or in perfectly matched pairs. The DELANO SBC 4 HE/S was developed to overcome many of the obstacles normally associated with most of the proven dual coil bass humbucking designs. We killed the nasal muddiness, broadened the spectrum and enhanced even order harmonics. Finally there is a bass pickup that perfectly blends the full bodied warmth of a humbucker and the airy openness of the best vintage single coils with crystal clear top end definition into pure luxurious bass tone.
  3. Hi, no heavy ones here. 8lb 13.7oz. John East is the ultimate preamp. It's active, or, pull up the 3rd knob and it's passive, with excellent tone range.
  4. Can ship to EU! You'll get duty on it though....
  5. This is a rare punchy beast, I haven't found another like it. Rosewood fretboard with pearly block inlays, and the all important go faster stripes for those trickier licks 😂 30" Short scale, made in Japan in 2014. It's effectively a very high quality, active Mustang variant. The pickups are blades, very responsive and precise. Featuring the John East jazz preamp, so it has full passive control, or epic active. It's had a full luthier set up, action is low and intonation is spot on. In excellent all round condition. Comes with Atelier short gjgbag. Currently wearing La Bella Deep Talkin strings. Can courier at cost. Trade for Sandberg VS4 or Central, maybe!
  6. What he said! 😂
  7. This is a Mex 2013 Cabronita in superb condition, in all black, with a proper 50s P neck and a unique tone. Pots and cap have been upgraded and it comes with the original Fender pickup and original knobs instead of the relic Gotoh I seem to put on everything! The Cabronita plays like a Tele Bass, but has arm the benefit of arm relief, and feels a bit more compact. The pup thumb rest is removable. Can courier.
  8. 2024 ebony/black special edition bass that I imported from Spain, was a real bargain before I had to pay the duties! I had it reworked by Indra Guitars, a luthier who specialises in ageing, etching, engraving, and generally crafting offbeat wonders. The short scale (30") bass is fairly stock apart from flattened paint, a bit of hidden routing to lose 500g and obviously the lollipop machine heads are irresistible. The MFD pickup is absurdly epic, with the even hotter option on the OMG switch (if you want to blow the bloody door off). The crows are taken from real pictures I took in India. (I'm a photographer). Courier at cost, possible trade

  9. It's all very subjective. I wanted to get the Electra closer to German, so I did preamp, pickups and tuners. Aguilar are small pole and Alnico so psychologically more vintage. And I had the bits here already. Tone is good across the Sandbergs without any tweaking though! VM4 and Central to go, then I have the full set!
  10. Lionel is active with passive switching, I traded a Stingray for it, it's not the Bass Direct one!
  11. My Sandberg Family. SL TT, Electra VS4 (with Aguilar 60s and German tuners), TM4 Electra (Thomann Special) and the magnificent Lionel. I've become a fan boy!
  12. What on earth for? You just adjust correctly, then tighten the locking screw!
  13. Ha, blur is just the photography, it's a brand new build! The thumbrest is held on with double sided tape. No residue.
  14. It's what he would have wanted! 😂
  15. Try as I might, I just can't get on with the slab body. This is a new Allparts trans butterscotch telecaster bass body, with the neck sourced from a New York luthier who specialises in aged finishing. He applied the logo too and supplied and fitted Gotoh tuners. The pickup is a Bloodstone Handwound Noiseless. All assembly and setup executed by my luthier, who made the natty (removable) thumb rest too! Although I bought the ferrules, the holes are currently capped as I didn't really require string though. It's lightweight and dead cool, currently strung with GHS Precision flats. Can ship. Trades maybe!
