2. PM'd sorry for the late reply i was in work Didnt we used to get an email when someone sent you a PM?
3. Wayne I meant mint condition but think 'after 8' if you want the mint connection ;-) Not sure on a sale Gordon, would have to be looking at top second hand price to get me a good Sandberg feel free to PM an offer if you like but it's a feeler at the mo as this was the bass I said was gonna be a keeper (how many times have we heard that one)
4. Bought this Black/Black/Rosewood 'Ray brand new in 2006 from Dolphin Music in Liverpool (tag marked £1100+) I had just started playing fretless, Loved the ray sound and soon grabbed a fretless ray here on BC which became my main squeeze. Result is this has spent most of its life in the case and is even wearing the original strings it left the factory with. This is a one owner minter oozing MM quality. comes with OHSC If im gonna try a bass with speedbumps again I fancy the narrow fast neck of a J style and see the Sandberg as a Bass of equal quality (so im told!) would have to be in good condition unless sandberg aged of course

9.
I also used to have a fretless BB400S although I defretted it myself; was my first fretless bass and I absolutely loved it, great in every way. I've always though that Yamahas are massively underrated, especially the 80s ones. My current BB1200 is a serious tone monster.
I know what you mean it gave me the best p bass sound I ever had out of my peavey TNT not the best amp in the world but even my old USA p didn't sound good through it. Now the fender has gone and I am taking the stingray path.
10. Good man you won't regret it I'm sure, though I personally like the neck finish give it six weeks and you will probably never go back to sticky gloss. Once it comes back with the stralocks and the (minor) ding finished you won't wnt to let it go rays rock fretless rays sing! Someone just missed the steal of the century
11. this is painfull! how can i be really happy with the one ive just bought (identical but in 3eq) and still want this? this is as good as it gets for me someone buy it you will be very happy i promise
12.
I thought that noelk27 was looking for one of these a while back. Maybe drop him a PM?
cheers Pete, I did pm him before putting it up but he didnt reply so maybe hes not interested? im sure if hes after one he will see this thread- I dont want to hassle anyone as im not desperate to sell just think its worthy of a loving home! Cheers Bri
13.
Bump for a bargain vintage Japanese fretless. I have an identical BB400S and these are superb basses in every way - definitely worth its (not inconsiderable!) weight! Jon.
Cheers Jon it was on your recommendation that i bought this one and it is a great Bass, it just wont get the playing it should now i have fallen in love with my 'ray fretless Bri
14. if only this was up a couple of weeks ago i have just bough a 3eq ray in the same colour combo courtesy of bassbora. mine is a '99 and is in great condition but that looks great if your considering this then dont even think about it-they are great i paid 670 without the original case so this is a great bargain
15. For Sale my Lined Fretless BB400s I dated it from its serial no to 1983 Vintage (reverse!) P Bass sound, ideal if you want to give fretless a go. I did and loved it so bought a fretless Stingray from Bassbora (lovely single piece of ash, original sunburst) to match my fretted 'Ray and have decided to give this up for sale. This is a big heavy bass but i got used to its weight quickly and its lovely yellowed aged neck which is fast with a nice low action Make no mistake it has been through the mill but still has a great tone. Big heavy bridge that makes a badass look lightweight! I bought it on this site for £110 and have put some ernie ball flats on it (Group III 45-100) at a cost of £35 and will supply it in an equally battered hard case for £150 all in. not making anything on it and am happy to pass on to another Bcer so they can try the black art of fretless! come join us! basses shouldnt have frets I'd prefer pick up from Liverpool but will ship at buyers expense (prob about £30) A vintage Jap fretless with a great sound got to be worth a punt at this price
16. Just bought a fretless stingray off Sveinn (Bassbora) and he was a top bloke to deal with, the bass was posted as soon as I paid the agreed fair price and arrived next day well packed. Great communications throughout. The bass had a little crack in the neckplate that he had missed (it was easy to miss and oi nly found cos im so fussy over my basses) and he was kind enough to arrange a replacement from ernie ball. this hasnt effected the playability and its a lovely bass i hope to hang onto for years (but we all know that can change with GAS!) any way i would not hesitate to buy from him again or recommend him to others
17. Bassbora sorry not trying to hijack your sale just giving you a bump with a possible solution that might benefit us both
18. If anyone is looking for a fretted ray ( black and rw) I have 2006 beauty which I would reluctantly sell to buy bass boras fretless or a mint 2008 USA p bass in sunburst rw and tort pm me forpics only if serious good luck Bri

20. Hello there this is a call for help as well as a heads up for anyone who doesnt know about this sheme. Anyone working for mcdonalds, john lewis, waitrose, dhl network rail or selected other firms (full list in o2 stores but they wont print it out or give the details out over the phone) can get an o2 open code for themselves and friends and family which gives 20% off i phone contracts (30% off other handsets) they can use their code 6 times a year and you just need the name and number to sign up in store. share the love on this site like people have done with the sky friends and family codes and we can all save money. by the way if anyone has a code please pm me, I am about to send my orange phone back during my cooling off and would love an iphone on o2 without being ripped off! (great for looking up tabs on tinternet during rehearsals!) nice lady in my local o2 shop said i just need the code and the employees name and its job done! Cheers Bri
21. Harvey, I have very recently moved to fretless having bought an early eighties yamaha 400s fretless on this very site after some sound advice from fatback and bassasassin. I am so glad i did it sounds better through my peavey tnt amp than my stingray or p bass do and seems to fit the band sound really well playing mainly covers- doors and hendrix to stereophonics and oasis. after only a few weeks i consider it 'my sound' I am now already gassing for another fretless (any TFs for sale?) what im trying to say is give it a go you wont know till you go good luck and welcome to the forum Bri
22. found it its No. 11 (Andrew Levy on front cover) Knew i had it!
