5. Just a question, are any frequencies lost at all using this? And is there any latency?
6. I use an artec noise gate, it isn't a supressor its an actual gate You set the threshhold/sensitivity and and signal below that, it just cuts. I have the gate as the very first pedal in my chain as running it after distortions means you have to get really risky with the threshhold. If I mute a string, my whole signal is cut off and amp is silent (including using my fuzz+preamp) I'd recommend it, also since your concerned about using your conpressor after your distortion, you can have the gate first and the compressor second in your signal path Oh, aand best parts are its true bypass and only cost me about 45-50quid new

8.
I've got an old (but fully functional ) Stagg one I no longer use you can have if you like? Only light padding but has backstraps and a couple of pockets... Not sure what it would cost to post - I guess around £5-£6? - but if you (or anyone you know) is going to be in London any time soon pickup would be good, I could bike it to anywhere in the general vicinity of Euston or Northolt...
That would be great thanks i'll PM you my address and then when you post it let me know the cost and i'll send it to you via BACS

11.
Did you get this sorted?
I did thanks Fonzo well, I know the problem, atleast.. sorry for the late reply, been really busy! basically the higher gauge strings I used previously somehow degraded the groove in the nut where my A string sits, so I need a new nut. I'll have to wait around 5 months til I can afford one tho!
12. Hey guys, doing a little clearout. I have 55 toy cars, most of them are hot wheels. I used to love spending my pocket money on these when I was a little younger, haha Would make a great addition for either a collector, or for a young son. all yours for the price of postage - which I would say would be around £6, maybe heres some pics:

14. He had a little fiddle with it, he said he wanted to. He changed the intonation to spot-on, which is great, but now the action is HORENDOUS to play on. I literally odnt wanna play my bass anymore, and I dont wanna take it back to him because tbh he just isnt my cup of tea. And I got horendous fret buzz JUST on the A string, I never had any problems before. Can anyone be kind enough to tell me how I can fix all these issues? I am a slightly (very slightly) hard player, and he slackened off the truss rod so I cant play how I usually do. He has changed the action via saddles, changed their lenghts and adjusted the truss rod. I am so annoyed! And I remember after I had given it to him that he did once before warp the neck on my old Yamaha, this was ofcourse too late as he had already gotten his hands on it! Since I get A string buzz, my neck isnt warped, is it?

17. Yeahh I have quite a few pedals anyways, but it says in my enrolement letter its getter to have a POD than not have one.. I may just go there without one for the start and then get one out of my grant money, that would seem the most logical thing I think
18. This has raised a question for me for a while back now, are they even good effects units? They seem to be the most popular effects unit, if not the most popular item, that sells in the For Sale section. What is bad about them that people seem to sell them off all the time? I was planning on getting one for uni, I am taking a 3 year course at a Bass Academy in Guildford and its not a requirement to have a POD unit, but its useful to have one for masterclasses and lectures and such.. would it be worth investing in this unit or a different Line 6 model?
19.
you can check nut groove rattle by pressing a fingernail down directly on teh plaing side of the nut. go over the whole instrument with a screwdriver and jsut check everything's tightened right up. if no improvement, check if there's any tension in the truss rod... if it's completely slack, give it a tweek until you just start to feel the nut "bite"... it'll make no tangible difference to the setup, but will stop the rod nut/rod rattling.
I just put my fingernail down in the nut slot where the A string sits, and this pretty much stopped mostthe resonating, there is a TINY bit but there always wil be a tad I reckon.. so I think this may be the problem I guess a new nut may be needed.. althought I really wouldnt be comfortable doing this myself.. Do you think if I go to get my bass a decent setup that they would do this for me for an extra cost? The most suitable place I can think of would be a music shop called Sheehans - I dont know of any private people that do anything as such.
20. I've also just tried pressing down REALLY hard past the nut, so that an A# is produced and this solves the problem, whereas tuning the string to A# does not.. So im thinking the string needs more tension, possibly?
21. I've tightened all the screws on the bridge, and made sure the legs are completely sitting.. but still, resonation city!! im thinking it may be the truss rod like someone posted, I did just downgrade from a heavy gauge string to my beloved mediums (I used heavy for a project I was in but just left).. this may very well be it? if so, any thoughts on a fix?
22. Hey guys, a part of my bass, right near the bridge, resonates when I play some notes, even with only a small amount of force - particularly the open A string makes the most racket! does anyone have any idea what it might be that is causing this?? I have tried holding down my bridge with one hand and plucking with another and it still happens, tried holding down my strap pegs, the battery plate on the back, the control plate on the front.. even the springsthat are on the saddle's and I am lost! maybe its a saddle itself I am unsure, but its really annoying! I have an American Fender Jazz Deluxe if that helps diagnose this error!
23. put your OD before the Sansamp, Sansamp say this is the best way themselfes anyways in the manual and tbh I have to agree a lot of low end can get lost when using dirt effects like OD's (I use a lot of fuzz personally) and the Sansamp helps bring it back into the equation, which is a bonus. Also, by having it before your kind of modelling the OD aswell as the clean, not just modelling the clean to make the OD sound different on its way out of the Sansamp which means you'd get more control on your EQ in a way. and then have your limiter at the end of the signal path. so - ODB-3, SA, LMB-3
