  8. Thanks everyone for your help. It does look like there might have been a silver series on the headstock but the punk had Sticker on it so might have come of when I originally started work on it 4 years ago!
  9. I got an old Squier Off a old punk a couple of years back that was pretty knackered and been painted Matt black. So during this awful time I have finally started doing it up. It’s a Japanese Squier precision bass with the serial number M039366 I have stripped the Matt black off (what a nightmare that was) and now tru oiling the body. my question is when was it built? Are they any good? I have seen a couple of JVs on here for big money, is this worth anything? the plan is to make it look like a vintage p bass what do you think??

  13. Hi , did this work? I have the same problem with my tecamp puma 900. I have a short lead going to my mixer. Is it as simple as unsoldering pin 1?
  14. Hohner the jack bass guitar project In need of a bit of TLC I brought this a while ago as a project but haven’t got the time at mo. A few marks on it Jack socket needs replacing (very loose) Needs 2 screws on front pick up. I think it all works ok but hard to test as jack socket makes it cut out. Action looks great! So if you have some spare time grab yourself a bargain!
  15. Don’t suppose there is any sound clip/you tube of this bass?
  16. I teach kids at my local school. Some one them could do with better strings but can’t afford them. Always welcome to take them off you. A boil up and they will sound much better! = happy you bass players!

  20. Ashdown 220 touring bass combo Sound great but the MID knob has sheered off . It still works as you move it with screwdriver. I’m having a clear and can’t be bothered to fix it. Here’s the spec First heard in the 427 Small Block, Ashdowns Dual Tube bass preamp was an instant hit, thanks to its solid, articulate bottom end and sparkling highs. Now it forms the front end of the Touring Series combos to deliver tube tone without the price tag. It features solid construction, a quality speaker and a 220 watt power stage. Great-sounding amp, presentable in any professional playing environment. This one features a 12" speaker.
  21. Hohner The Jack headless bass guitar With a maple body and matching neck. “The Jack” has a natural finish, with a rosewood, 24 fret, fingerboard and truss rod. All of the hardware is in black, with 2 EMG Select humbuckers and the licenced Steinberger bridge/tailpiece. There is an active on/off switch powered by a 9v battery, 1x tone control and 2x volume controls. Everything works as it should. It has a few nicks and scratches, all indicated in the images but apart from that a lovely bass I have 2 of these which I use as back to my status kingbass. I Need a new amp so selling one. Spec · Neck wood: Maple · Body: Maple · Neck joint: Through neck · Fingerboard: Rosewood · Radius: 12” · No Frets: 24 · Profile: C · Nut: Zero-fret · String tree: n/a · Width at nut: 39mm · Width at 12th Fret: 53mm
