2.
Back up for sale - I'll consider trades for something smaller, but tbh I'd prefer some cash. £750 still seems a fair price.. Paul.
I have a Roland bass cube 100 I would be willing to throw in the mix
 3. Nearly finished now http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...%3D1&_rdc=1
 4.
These are the ones to go for....believe me and this lot too:- Series 6 amp discussion
To be fair there are a few on there that do not rate it Sorry to be so mercenary but bad reviews about such gear on here are quite rare. And you opened the bidding by directing us there.
 5.
It's made from compressed weasels & there's a live frog under the scratchplate. Apart from that it's a stock 4001s.
Not interested then. Not the kind of responsibility I can commit to.
 6.
It's modelled on Chris Squires unique old 4001s. It's incredibly sought after & highly collectable, and they tend to change hands for daft money.
I researched that much, but just wondered what the differences were.
 7.
I am sure i read recently of people offering a system of 'buying' + feedback or setting up a system to boost it but cant think where it was. Never rely on just the figure anyway, always have a good poke about. Is it me or are s/h Fender prices falling generally (possibly in line with everything else)? BB
Nothing appears to be selling. Cars, guitars, houses, watches. But the prices are staying up for some reason. I have just sold a car for about 6 grand less than I thought i would get for it,no interest whatsoever and it is the same with houses and basses IMHO. No takers no takers, no takers reduce the price and someone swoops. Just my opinion, but Ihave bought and sold a lot of things recently.
 8. If you are desperate for it I will go and have a look if you want.
 9.
Hang your head in shame! just kidding - i've learnt lots of things on BC - they are the bridge covers - in old days when smoking was allowed bassist woukld take the bridge cover and use it as an ashtray (on stage usually) and subsequently lose them. here endeth the lesson..... BB
AN ASHTRAY!!!!!!!! ON STAGE!!!!!!!!!!! What the f**k would that eminent bassist, Sid Vicious, say about that?
 10. So would this show on my black rik? How much is this CS? What is the difference between this and a normal Rik. I am not sure I like mine, it makes my left wrist sore and my Warwick never did. But I was not as old.
 11. Can anyone think of I reason I should not buy this? Have a newbie bump
 12.
Plus, i was absolutely trashed, i'm surprised i could even see the keyboard
So the colours quite literally made you want to puke? Haha.
 13.
I'm seriously thinking about this one. Yeah i now i shouldn't have put it on here but its better than bidding on it and then finding a basschater beat me to it on ebay. the starting price makes me think it could end at quite a high price though. any thoughts. I was thinking what questions to ask him really. 14.
Sorry for being a bit slow here, but are we saying this isn't John Entwistle's bass then?
Cheers pal!!!! Just having a quiet read with my coffee and then you made me read that. Coffee all over keyboard and down through my nose.
 15. Does this reaction thing happen with all Rks on all foam stands? *gulp*
 16.
interesting rig, the colours make me want to puke but it's potentially pretty nice sounding. Am i the only one that doesn't see a 4x10?
The fourth speaker appears to be on top of the cab. I wonder if this rig would be good for playing Blues. I'll get my coat then.
 17.
Hmm. He said he wasn't sure he was going to refloat it. Seems he has.
Why would he not if his story is true. Do you want me to delete the link, you don't want to be in a bidding war if you can help it.
 18.
Have you mailed him through eBay messages. If so I would try again, they do not always get through.
No need it is back on http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/musicman-20th-Annive...id=p3286.c0.m14
 19.
No, but I've just had a look at that! never ever heard of a silver one before. I have an XL2A, though. The bass I was after was a 20th Anniv Stingray fretless. I sat there and watched it tick down to zero without bidding. Later on in the evening I decided that I would rob the savings after all so I emailed the guy asking if was going to relist and I haven't heard anything back. Moral: He who hesitates is bassless!
Have you mailed him through eBay messages. If so I would try again, they do not always get through.
 20. Are you ever going to tell us how much this is?
 21.
No worries. May I remind you that shipping is only £38.
PM'd
 22. I have thought about it and it is going to be too much driving tagged on to the driving I am already doing ( I will be driving from Preston) but if you know of anyone going to Glasgow before you sell it they could drop it off at my girlfriends and I shall pay electronically.
 23.
Thanks John. At the end of the day, the auction had "best offer" on it for a reason - to invite offers. It was not simply fixed price. I have seen too many things sit around in the for sale sections in here for far too long, and Ebay is clearly a far bigger audience than just on here. I make my living playing and teaching bass, guitar and drums. Hence pieces of equipment are not just playthings for me, but simply tools of the trade. Cash raised has bought a 4*10 I needed, and will buy an acoustic guitar I also need, along with a preamp possibly.
I was not trying to say you was ripping anybody off and I apologise profusely if that is how it seemed. I just think that suggesting Basschatters have missed a couple of good sales is a bit inappropriate if the good sales were not offered to them. When I buy stuff that is offered here I always assume (maybe wrongly) that the seller has gone that little bit further to keep the price down, in the great Basschat tradition, and I would not dream of asking them to knock off nearly 20% off the price. Once again I am sorry if there was the mearest hint I thought you was ripping anyone off.
 24.
sold on the bay of E. Basschatters have missed a couple of great sales from me lol
But you had it on here at £350 and sold it on ebay for £290, perhaps that's not why you are hitting the buyers on here. Just a thought.
 25.
Dude that's about 120 miles from Aberdeen, which according to google maps pans out at about 5 hours for the round trip for me. Now I like a drive but... I could meet up in Dundee or something.
Good Lord I never realised. Give me a little while to think about it please. Cheers.
