Total Watts

  1. EDF Energy. About to go to the Ombudsman for the third time (won the last two). How this company still exists is beyond me.
  2. I have a balalaika strung with uke strings in concert uke tuning (CGDA), great for playing cello pieces. I keep thinking of getting a uke bass, inspired by Kinga Glyk's video (not that I will be able to match Kinga's playing) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_onY_geaMs
  3. Or maybe the sheer amount of new music? Self-publishing on the internet combined with cheap home recording technology means anyone anywhere in the world can release their own music rather than it being something just for the lucky few. The downside being even fewer get to make a living from it as there's simply too much competition.
  4. Councils can already seize empty homes, although they now have to wait 2 years instead of the original 6 months. That doesn't mean they do, just that they can.
  5. Yes - housing costs were *much* cheaper. The average house cost was 2-3 times average income, now it's more like 10 times. Rents follow house prices. The current cost of living crisis is an extra financial load, with our super-rich PM allowing energy companies to continue to profiteer off the Ukraine war and milk the domestic energy market.
  6. I knew these were worth hanging on to
  7. I've had a couple of speaker parts from Banzai this year, 2-3 weeks turnaround each time but it seems emailing them after a week or so gets things moving.
  8. Even low bluetooth latency is well over 30 milliseconds, which is not usable for live audio.
  9. Look at it the other way round - a circuit that is designed to run optimally at 18v can also perform adequately at 9v, but with less headroom. You will find many pedal manufacturers quoting a difference in tone or headroom at different supply voltages.
  10. Genzler re/Q pedal quotes higher input headroom depending on supply voltage (9-18v).
  11. Waking up a zombie thread... is DV247 safe to use? I've ordered a bass amp and immediately gotten email from a German company in Köln with the sig in German, have asked for confirmation that there's no import duty, no response so far. Does DV247 actually exist in the UK any more? Has anyone in the UK bought from them recently?
