1.
I disagree with all of that. Precision is a rock/blues bass (I won't even bother providing examples of jazz, funk, pop, indie Precision players, there's too many to list)? Fretless is for 'Jazzers' (what, famous Jazzers like Rick Danko, Jeff Ament, Les Claypool)? Precisions are for 'no nonsense' playing (not sure what you mean by no-nonsense really but I suspect the tone is one of root notes etc, Rocco Prestia immediately springs to mind...)? Fretless necks require high levels of skill (so do fretted necks)? OK, you admit they're crude generalisations, yes, but probably sufficiently crude to warrant not writing them in the first place IME, having owned a few, most players are simply suspicious of maple fretless in terms of tone and rate of wear. Both are, again, crude generalisations! C
OK, I give in. But you know I'm right really, we both know it
 2.
And yet I can't sell it. So how is it too cheap? Davo
I think it could be that it's a rock/blues bass with a jazzers neck, so it's going to appeal to a smaller market. I know this is a crude generalisation, but Precisions are great for straight up no nonsense bass playing and fretless necks require high levels of technical ability, and that may be the problem.
 3.
I'm putting this back as the Kings Road store don't seem to have sold it. Davo
Forum rules say you should (must) quote a price. See 'Important changes to the Marketplace' at the top/pinned.
 4.
are you prepared to post it?
I prefer to let the buyer see before committing. I don't want any comebacks due to transit damage or loss. Cheers, Mark
 5.
hi, do accept Paypal?
Cash only, sorry.
 6.
Really no posting? Does it have truss rod? Threaded inserts?
There is a small cover which I believe gives access to a truss rod at the 'fat' end of the fingerboard, but I have never needed to undo or adjust it, as graphite necks are super rigid and the neck has remained stable since I bought it. It fixes with Status Graphite screws ( look like black self tappers to my eyes). I have four and a black heel plate which would go with the neck. Cheers.
 7. SOLD - Just bought a Gibson SG Bass so this has to go now!SOLD Excellent condition with the best grain pattern I've seen on one of these! There is a slight mark on the back of the neck which can be seen on the close up of the back of the headstock. It's very. very slight, and can only just be felt if you really try. I hadn't spotted it, thanks Tim. £195 cash on collection. Cheers, Mark. (Harlow, Essex).SOLD
 8. Hardly used in excellent condition with box and instructions. Had it 10 years with no problems. £195 new, so how about £95 cash on collection? Cheers, Mark. (Harlow, Essex) SOLD
 9. These were fitted to a 78 F Jazz bass I have sold so want to sell these now. Excellent condition, fully working and complete with box and instructions. £160 new, so how about £80 cash on collection? Cheers, Mark. (Harlow, Essex). SOLD
 10. This neck was manufactured and fitted by Status Graphite to my 78 Jazz (see pic) approx. 10 years ago. I recently sold my Jazz so now don't have a home for this ultimate lined fretless neck. I had always intended on becoming an expert fretless player but unfortunately didn't have the time or ability to master it! The neck is in excellent condition (unfortunately the photos are not great) owing to light use. These necks new are £352.50 (un-fitted), so I'd like to get £175 for it without the Schaller 5547/*/CH machines and string tree or £225 as shown in the pics. Cash on collection only please. Cheers, Mark. (Harlow, Essex) SOLD

 12. It's had half a dozen rehearsals and three or four gigs. There are no dings or scratches and you are more than welcome to try it out whenever.
