1. Hi moos3h, is the kit still available... Was looking at this very one in a music shop today and it seemed the biz.
2. Regularly used pedal though in good nick and in the original box although one small problem is that it does not work reliably on battery but I never use that just an adaptor which case it is fine. Selling to fund an Electro Harmonix Bass Micro Synth Pedal so if you have one to swap then maybe we could make a bargain. Price £50 shipped in the UK. Will add pictures later.
3. PIctures added please see link https://www.dropbox.com/sh/cihd4iyhi0emnja/OrVlUtj8Iu/peavey
4. Still old peavey parts available. Make an offer.
5. That sounds encouraging. If the pre amp is low output then likely to be working but strangled output. To clean pots and switches I use just the tiniest amount of solvent just a half second squeeze of the trigger then turn the pot or switch at least ten times. In terms of the low output prime suspects are dry solder joints, connection points, and components legs. As japanaxe recommends a poke around with music source plugged in and powered on can reveal where the problem is. You have to be very careful though with live apparatus as there will mains and high levels of DC which may even linger after switch off. My personal preference here is for a chop stick. Especially tap away on all jack connectors metal contacts, wires joining the boards and also give controls a bit of a side to side wiggle. Especially anything that controls the channel switching. Hopefully you will get it back to normal.
6. Hi are Well made amps I have repaired many over the years. But there are common issues around the switches that they use in the control of valve sound, filters etc. Try giving them a little exercise to see if any sound breaks through either rockers or rotary. Other than that need to isolate the problem. You can do this with patch leads. For example guitar in the front and then signal out from fx send, power amp out or similar to another working amp Will tell you if the preamp is working.
7. Photos added and today I learnt to delete my old photos. Much Whooping
8. + £10-15 for UK shipping. This is powerful 2U PA amp from a quality manufacturer that I understand is popular for bass guitar players too. It has been in my bands PA used only for vocals, kick and snare. We only do about 10-15 gigs a year so not driven too much though used regularly. Plenty of little scratches but basically in good nick. Specs: 2 x 260W @ 8 ohm 2 x 400W @ 4 ohm Lots more combinations here including bridged, filtered etc. http://www.qscaudio....mps/rmx/rmx.htm

18. The speaker cab is now gone although I do have a box of speakers and cabinet hardware now.
19. Just bought a couple of faulty ashdown amps from aende and he is a great guy to deal with. Messages very quickly and does exactly what he says he will. Packing was excellent and all went very smoothly. Highly recommended. Mike
20. Hi PsycoAndy, can you add a bit more detail on the nature of the fault. When you say farting do you mean ... a continuous loud hum? and . . . If you plug your guitar in do you get any sound coming through the speaker? Or just the farting and . . . If you plug your guitar directly into the power amp; either via the effects return loop socket or if there is a power amp input socket on the back, what do you get Reason I ask is that a while back in a moment of madness I bought an old box of Trace Elliot power amp boards (5 of them) so was thinking that I should be able to cobble something together. Mike
21. eeugh just searched for finger calluses on google images - I don't recommend it! Recently (last few weeks) I haven't been practicing as much as usual which is probably 30 minutes every day. On the other hand, though not literally, I wouldn't say that I have much in the way of callusses to start with. So I guess that is the point I need to man up a little.
22. Hi guys, Thanks for your comments. I suspect that you are right about playing too hard. To be honest from my view that's good news as compared with other types of technique modification it should be fairly easy to lay off a little or adjust the amps volume. In terms of strings I just use Ernie Ball strings which are Nickel I believe. I was wondering about trying some others to see if it made a difference but not sure what types are best. I think rehearsals do lead to a certain amount of soreness but less because we play less at rehearsals and of course there is less adrenalin going on. I think that what I will do is switch to pick for a few songs and see how that goes. Next weekend I have gigs on Friday and Saturday night so I will need to be extra careful to lay off on the. Mike
23. Am I doing something wrong? I play in a covers band and we usually do two one hour sets. Mainly I play finger style right handed but I have a problem with my finger tips. I am noticing that my right hand finger tips are quite sore after playing - I was wondering whether this is typical or is it a sign of poor technique, playing too hard, being feeble etc. Love to hear any opinions on this. I use a pick on a couple of songs and I am thinking that I will start using it more if I cant rectify this.
