3. These Performers are fantastic. They were manufactured in Japan to Iceni's specs. (not to be confused with the latest performer model which were hand built in essex) they came out as best buy in bass guitar and guitar buyer. £299 is a steal for this. The necks on these feel fantastic!
4. Boss ODB 3 bass overdrive pedal. boxed. great condition. £40
5. posted this under my friends log in by accident..here it is again, bit from me. The Zoot cabs have now changed the branding. they are now called Purple Chilli and are absolutely fantastic. some design tweak upgrades from the zoot cabs and are now finished in a very swish purple tolex on the front half and black on the back half with white piping between. same combo of celestion drivers and eminance crossovers. they are light weight compact and good value. the website is uner construction but theres a myspace page with all the info up. just search purple chilli amps. id say its as good as my aguilar rig if not better.
6.
HI Wes good to see you again, and thanks for the deal. This really is a super jazz at a great price. Very pleased, one of Mikes best basses i have seen and played, although i know you had much to do with the build! Exellent stuff, and speak soon, Rich.
cheers Rich! Giid to see you too and glad to help you out! enjoy it. speak soon Wes

8. BUMPPPP now only £699 need this to go! damn this recession!
9. nothing wrong with it at all! I use 30 - 110s on my 5 string, i get a super low action and big tone still..although the bigger bassists still bully me about it
10. I've been playing for about 10 years now and have the ability of someone whose been playing for a year or so. my technique is entirely self taught and for me this works great..ive been to a recognised music school to study a degree and ended up leaving as i just couldn't pick up the new techniques. however I have been in bands since starting playing and have gigged a heck of a lot which has been my most worthwhile thing for timing, feel and performance etc. In the last few years i've sessioned for a major label act and a couple of indie label bands and am now playing as part of a new band on a major label to be released later this year. so i guess what im trying to say is you don't have to be a technical or amazing bass player to play pop on any level. all you need to be able to do is play solidly and in time and put the occasional SIMPLE lick or fill in to make it a bit more interesting. In my experience every audition has been based more on my image and looks and 'performance' more than my playing (thankfully ^_^ ) when it comes to pop music! if you want to get into it then go on sites like starnow.co.uk and ukmusicjobs.net theres a fair few auditons popping up for decent pop acts every now and then.
11. oh my! this is stunning! If i hadnt got the fender c/s on order this wouldve been mine.....i could always sell everything else....hmmm
12.
Oh if I had the cash <drool> looks better than a fender, like the pups on that one. Beef. MORE POWER!
yeah its got oodles of power! the 18v gives you loads of headroom!
13. this show was absolutely fantastic! well worth buying people!
14. Here is my Iceni Funkmeister 4 string super jazz. I had this bass up about a month when it was a fretless. I decided to withdraw it as i do really love the bass and had mike swap the neck for a fretted one as i really don't play fretless very well and the neck was too skinny. However due to fender c/s GAS I have to sell something in my collection and unfortunatley this is going to have to go. (mainly because i havn't had a chance to get attached to it yet!) so heres the specs: one peice american swamp ash body finished in a unique dark cherry burst, high gloss. Aero H series pickups, EMG active EQ powered by 18v. Badass II bridge, chrome hardware. 34" scale, 24 frets, 3 piece canadian rock maple neck (flipped grain for extra stability). quite a chunky C profile with gloss finish. Indian rosewood finger board (dark) and jumbo frets. Fender F stamp machine heads. Schaller straplocks and kinsman case included. The bass is still only just over 3 months old and sounds and plays fantastically. low action. nice weight. £699 can have it city linked to anywhere in the uk at no extra cost. sorry but no trades...although could be swayed by a sadowsky .... probably shouldnt but you never know.. Im based in Brighton. thanks for looking and i hope someone can give this a new home wes
