It was just one of those times when everything just clicks, great tone, felt free in my playing, the whole band was nailing it.......loved it
Yup, couldn't have put it better myself. Oh how i love times like those. -
Belting night at The Globe in Cardiff. Top quality skanking support from Tattsyrup, an excellent FOH sound from the house engineers, good crowd up and dancing from the 'g' of go, went mental for everything we played. Fresh strings on the Shuker, played through the full Genz+Nemesis rig, sounded utterly beautiful.

After years of fruitlessly trying to sound like other people, I now sound exactly like me. And I'm very happy with that.

Because they're overpriced on eBay..?

CAR, with white pearl plate.

Well it's decided one thing.
The next one of us who starts up a band has got to call it The Tims. -

At last. Christ, I was starting to wonder if this guy was ever gonna get a mention. -
I'm hoping my Wal Pro IIE will turn out to be a good investment. I paid £330 back in 1986, I think it might be worth a bit more than that by now

I paid £120 for my BTB406. Find me a better 6 stringer for that price and win a prize It's a superb instrument.
I first saw Janek doing a Bass Player Live clinic on YouTube with the late Hiram Bullock. I thought his groove was amazing. I love the muted sound he gets with his thumb.

Anyway, i have rambled long enough, and some of the above is probably Hiram Bullocks.
See what I did there?
Aww c'mon gimme a break, it's still early. -
Thanks for the heads-up Mr. Corpse it looks dodgier than a £5 necklace in a pub car park. I'm going to move this to the ebay Links section.

Thank you for introducing me to an entirely new experience... an Ashdown that I actually want

Another Korg Pandora user here
Cans-wise, I cannot recommend Sennheiser HD280 Pros highly enough. Not the cheapest of the cheap, but then again not wallet-busters either, and ohhh the sound. I bought mine on the recommendation of one of our brethren here.

Many many years ago -- probably '87ish -- my band played support to a band in which Nick Beggs was guesting. I had a wee slappy solo in one of our songs; after I'd done it, I glanced into the crowd and Nick B was looking at me, & he smiled and raised his glass at me. I was walking on air for the next month after that.

I have heard someone, I forget who, using JBL EONs as part of their rig... sounded fine to me. I did for a while toy with the idea of getting active EON cabs and just using a bass preamp with them.
-
Yup, I like how delightfully silly.

You can usually find these things all over eBay, but there don't appear to be any at the moment. There are a couple of ebay shops who stock a hell of a lot of Artec gear, might be worth contacting them?

I used to run 1x15 + 2x10. I swapped the 2x10 for a second 1x15 and now the sound is bigger, louder, more everything. Far better.

I used Interparcel to send a power amp to Slovenia. It arrived safely and only took a few days. The tracking was easy and excellent.
-
I'll take this if it's not already gone..?

Life's too short to spend time with people you don't get on with. Talk to the rest of the band and see if they're of a like mind to you & sticksman. If they are, show banjo the door. If they aren't, walk.
I love my my cab, but my amp is what the audience hears in via FOH, once the engineer has finished mangling it
Fixed.
Wiring a piezo and a humbucker?

I bought and made one of these a few years ago, as an attempt to boost the output level of some very weedy pickups... it worked quite well, although it didn't need to be turned up very far before the output became extremely high Would this work for piezos? I too am thinking of fitting a piezo bridge to a future project.
