Kim Jong-Un is even better. The very first time he picked a bass up, he played Donna Lee at 240bpm and then played the whole of Victor Wooten's back catalogue twice, and wrote three symphonies. And everyone stood up and clapped, or else.

I always wear the band t-shirt to the venue and wear it while setting up, but I change into a different one before playing.

Agreed, but sadly it's a bit late for prevention.

Hi @Rich. Yes I've suffered with this for years as has @NancyJohnson. I think there is a thread regarding his exploits somewhere.
Found it -- I've merged the two threads.

UPDATE: Saw my GP yesterday. It is definitely trigger finger. The fact that it has happened simultaneously in both hands make me quite the rarity, apparently, especially as it's my index fingers. I've had a steroid injection in the base of the left index as it's the worst of the two, if it's going to work it will take effect within a couple of weeks. Right at the moment, it's as sore as f***. This is annoying as I've got a rehearsal tomorrow night and a gig on Friday.

I've bought a couple of said stretchy finger protectors, wearing one at the moment on my poor aching left. Typing is, errm, interesting with it on

We play gigs in the same local pub where that album cover was photographed and was recorded. Rich will know it too as he lives in the same town.
Oh yes, about 3/4 of a mile from where I’m sitting right now 😃

hi, noob (to BC) here; will make every effort to join you folks at the SWBB (sheesh, everything's an effort at my age!) - i'm sole carer for senior family now, so definite arrangements a thing of the past, at the mo'
Transport is an issue, too, so i'm likely to be a lightweight on the gear front, but hoping to bring at least fretless Sinsonido & Ubass, Palmer Pocket Bass Preamp- and, if logistics allow, i might manage my venerable '60s electro-acoustic Hagstrom Concord Bass, and a Behringer MPA40TB, too
hope to be able to join the Bash and look forward to meeting you folks
Hi Sandy, you will of course be more than welcome. Hope you can make it, it's a great day. Whereabouts will you be travelling from?

I'd like to hear a version of it sung by someone else. It could probably be half decent.

Yay, a whole new bunch of gigs that they can be 2 hours late for.

I'm not overly fond of Madge either, but the Like A Prayer album is utterly sublime.

I loved the commentary on the DVD. When Ian Faith says "F**k the napkin!", one of them (Derek Smalls, I think) says "actually, that was the alternative title for the movie..."
