Happy to pay the £13 upfront.
And you'd be most welcome! Bringing any kit or just browse & chat? And eat, of course. Definitely eat.

Confirmed. If for any reason I can't make it you'll still get my £13.00
Likewise.

I would note however that the penguin has appeared on the menu in previous years, but each time the food on the day has been noticeably devoid of any trace of said aquatic bird. Can we finally expect penguin sandwiches to be available this year?

Confirmed.

I read a similar thing years ago regarding what Mutt Lange told Phil Collen (Def Leppard) about guitar solos. You should be able to sing a great guitar solo
I saw Alain Caron in Mike Stern's quartet some years ago. Yes it's fusion, so he took a couple of solos, and one of them was so damned melodic the tune actually got stuck in my head and I found myself whistling it next day.

I once overhead a discussion where someone claimed that the measure of a great songwriter is whether the window cleaner, postie, builder will still be humming their tunes a couple of decades later. On that bases the luckiest pub band in the world are doing pretty well.
They're still humming the tunes because you can't get away from the bloody things
said band are still wheezing out the same songs in their 80s.
Ah well, at the end of the day it's all subjective. Some people like 'em. Me, I wish they'd never picked up a mic/guitar/comb & bog paper.

As for Rod Stewart, if there's a more jammy, third rate chancer who has made a career in the music biz I'd like to know.
The Stones. I've long said that they're not the Greatest Rock'n'Roll Band in the World, they're the Luckiest Pub Band in the World.

No mention yet of Jagger and Bowie's atrocious Dancing in the Street
I'll happily mention it. It's so bad, it makes really bad things look great.
I like this remix.

Some of Toyah's songs take me straight back to the 80s. Thunder In The Mountains gives me a nostalgia rush so fierce I can almost smell & taste it. (In a good, non-yucky and non-smutty way.)

We could have a sub sub forum.

...thus making it a sub sub sub-only forum. 😁

I'm familiar with this album. My jaw dropped to the floor when I realised John Edwards was the bass player on it.blockquote widget
His Alembic had a gorgeous sound on that album. I was absolutely gutted when he and Jeff Rich jumped ship to join Quo.

Judie Tzuke's "Road Noise", one of my favourite albums. Many of the songs on there are superior to their studio counterparts.

A good guess but not right! I should clarify my first clue to say that it's not currently available in any finish.
Clue 2: It's made from a famous, but infrequently used wood.
It's a Fender Tony Goggle Signature WTF Bass made from palletwood with a flamed balsa top.

Fav gag for me is when they are sat around the table and they are going through past album reviews.
The 2 word review of Shark Sandwich 👍 gets me every time
From what I understand, that was the first time any of the cast had heard any of the reviews. Rob Reiner wrote them and had kept them secret up to that point.

I have to say, the kit list is looking quite amazing.
