1. So to avoid anyconfusion I have just taken a (bad) photo of new LH1000 so you can see how they are shipped from us. As you can see we have a brown outer carton (often thrown away by the store), This is followed by the Inner Carton that is printed with images , spec etc for display should it be required by the store/outlet, You then have the white polystyrene end pieces to support the head in the box and the head itself is then sealed in a heavy duty polythene bag. In addition to that you have a manual (wahoo!) and a power cable. The tape used by the factory is clear so any change to this suggest the unit has been opened although bear in mind the amp may not have been used so it could be brand new. Hope this clears up any confusion. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Gareth Underwood Samson and Hartke Brand Manager ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2.
Perhaps they'll follow this with the Disney marketing thing where they announce that there is inadequate supply and shops have only a few, so we all rush out to buy one quick.
LOL Just saw this after announcing we have sold the first shipment. Maybe there is a job at Disney for me! We do have plenty coming in on Monday though so shouldn't have an issue with supply. After waiting so long I am getting about 6 months of stock in one go. Completely agree with comments about the delay. Hopefully this type of thing won't happen again in the future. Apologies on behalf of the UK. Gareth
3. Sorry Guys, I was just searching to tell you more about the Kilo but Dood has beat me to it. Probably fairer if I let him post his opinion first. I am sorry I also missed this thread earlier it was not intentional. First shipment sold out already but more to arrive on Monday!! Hope it is worth the wait for everybody. Gareth
4. Just to let everybody interested know the Kilo amp has arrived in the UK and is now available to purchase via your local Hartke dealer. Best wishes Gareth

7.
Hi Gareth, Its on the 10th of October www.bassday.co.uk
Well I am not sure if it will hapen but I will certainly talk to those involved and see what we can do? Gareth
8.
It would be great to see Victor at BassDay!
Do you have the dates for that? Regarsd Gareth
9.
What exactly was the set up he was using Gareth? It sounded beautifully clear !
This is what he requested for the clinic. 1 LH1000 Hartke Amplifier, 1 HX410 HyDrive Cabinet, 1 HX115 HyDrive Cabinet He actually used the same stack on each sideof the stage. The clarity and puchiness is due to the fact that the hydrive range uses a part aluminium and part paper cone. For other music tastes there are traditional paper cones available and all alluminium cones so the falicy that there is a Hartke sound is a bit of a misnomer really. You just need to find what is right for you. Regards Gareth
10. Glad you enjoyed it Greg. We decided along time ago that we would let the artists mention the gear as little or as much as they please when they do clinics. After all if we want the product sold we can get professional demostrators to do that. First and foremost people like Victor are musicians and teachers and hearing him quote spec after spec would have just come across as false. He chooses to use Hartke even though he is in a position to pick and choose and whilst you will hear people who are supposed to be "in the know" speculate on the reasons why (money, worldwide support etc) after spending time with him I can assure you it is basically becasue he gets the sound he wants without any hassle so he can concentrate on playing. By his own admission he is not a tech head. Best wishes Gareth
11. Hi John, This is all the info we have at the moment. http://www.samsontech.com/products/product...cfm?prodID=2042 If I remeber right it is ported at the front rather than the back so it maybe okay. However you should get to a store when they ship and have a look. Regards Gareth
12. Hi Steelman, It is difficult to be absolutely sure on this query without actually seeing the head but assuming you have no other symptoms the fault should be reletively straightforward to find. The DI circuit is taken from the signal path prior to the amplifier circuit and so if you still have an output through the speakers the 'fault' will be between the di socket and where the signal splits from the output. You can either take the amp to your local music store and see if they can help or ring us here on 01908-857170. Best of luck Gareth
13. Not this time. He is only in the UK for one night before he travels back to the US. Sorry. Gareth
14. Just got this. "Gareth, The truss rod adjustment tool was not specialized. It is a standard 1/2" hex key. Regards, J Hartke Customer Service Department Supervisor"
15. I don't know myself but I have got somebody in the USA looking into it for me. Will let you know. Gareth
16. Well discovered lemmywinks you are correct in your investigation. We are expecting these to ship in the UK in the third quarter of the year at the moment, although this is always subject to change so it may end up being earlier depending on circumstances. The RRP will be about £370 with stores selling at about £300 - £350. The exact price will be announced nearer the time and details get confirmed so keep checking out the thread and I will let you know as soon as I know for sure. Gareth
17.
Many thanks Gareth, There is a slight fault now and agin, some gigs I use full range and some biamp. Now and again the amp crossover does not activate. I have to fiddle with the biamp/full range switch or power off and the back on. Imight try some switch cleaner. Greg
Failing that it could just need the solder reflowing on the switch joint but I am guessing the switch cleaner will do the job. Gareth
18. Hi Greg, It is difficult to 'service' electronic equipment as they do not suffer from mechanical issues like a car etc. The only thing that could be done is to check the solder joints and maybe the sockets etc. I would suggest that if there are no problems with the amp then I would leave it as it is. Regards Gareth
19. In this months 50th edition of Bass Guitar Magazine there has been a review of the new Hydrive Combo. "This is a very impressive, roadworthy combo, and at just over £900 it's within reach of the bassist budget." "The HM5410C will excel on any stage and provides enough power to let you do your thing with confidence." "The HM5410C illustrates that, rather than sitting on their laurels, Larry Hartke and his team are looking to improve an already successful formula." You can also win this combo in the magazine
20. Since taking the bass world by storm in 2007, Hartke HyDrive has emerged as one of the most innovative and popular products in the bass industry. Now, the HyDrive family is expanding thanks to the new HX112 HyDrive cabinet, a lightweight, powerful solution that makes life easy for performing bassists everywhere. HyDrive speakers fuse traditional paper and aluminum cones, giving players the warmth of paper and the punchy attack of aluminum. The HX112 features a single 12-inch, 300 watt HyDrive hybrid cone driver and a high frequency compression driver in a specially tuned, ported bass cabinet that weighs just under 30 pounds. Ideal for any playing style, the cabinet is dual-impedance, allowing a user to switch between 4 and 8 ohm impedances. “The 1 x 12 bass cabinet traditionally has a warm, solid bottom end that’s tight sounding and never too boomy,” says Larry Hartke, founder of Hartke Systems. “So we’ve taken the HyDrive technology and built it into a 1 x 12 configuration. The result is a 300 watt bass cab with awesome bottom end that only weighs 30 pounds!” If you need to be louder, adding a second HX112 will provide enough power to shake any stage. And to complement its lightweight portability, this cab also features inset side handles, removable casters and a steel grill for safe and easy transport. “Like its HyDrive predecessors, the HX112 combines power, tone and durability is a roadworthy cab that makes the trip to any stage or studio a breeze,” says Mark Wilder, Director of Marketing for Samson. “Getting this much power in a lightweight solution makes the HX112 truly a bassist’s dream come true.” Hartke HCH112 Cabinet
21. Nate Watts Receives 2010 International Bassist Award On Friday, January 15th, 2010, Nathan Watts became only the second recipient of Hartke's International Bassist Award, a "lifetime achievement" award for bassists. For over 30 years, Nate Watts has been a cornerstone in the world of music, playing on some of the most influential, popular music ever recorded. Since 1974, Watts has been an indispensable part of Stevie Wonder's rhythm section, serving as musical director for the last 12 years. "During the decade he's been with Hartke, Nate has always been a pleasure to work with," says Larry Hartke, founder of Hartke Systems. "In addition to being one of the most important faces of the brand, he's also a true friend." "I'm so proud to receive this award because one of my best friends and mentors, Jaco Pastorius, was the first to get it," says Nate Watts. "I'm honored to be the second to receive it! For Hartke to do this for me, it gives me immense joy and pleasure. I'd really like to thank them for everything." 23.
Korg? When did Hartke leave Sound Tech? I've had a few Hartke cabs and still have the DI pedal. The cabs always look incredible under stage lights!!
Korg UK took over the distribution of Samson and Hartke in January 2009.
