Hi all, Anybody know of any reputable double bass teachers in Kent or south east London? I have contacted a couple but have had no reply to emails and no answers from their mobiles! It's almost like they don't need the money! haha Cheers

Used to own one, a GMR Bassforce 4 (bought from Bass Merchant) very nice but I didn't hang on to it for long as I was going through a spell of GAS at the time and moved it on. Nice attention to detail (wooden pickup covers, wooden knobs) nice woods used, the sound was a bit sterile from what I remember.

Definitely try one if you can, I did and bought it on the spot! No issues with the fanned frets, they are very natural and the tone is brilliant. The frets are also banjo size which are more like the vintage frets on Fender American Vintage basses which I prefer anyway.

The fanned frets are really easy to get used to, as soon as I picked it up it was very comfortable, I am a convert! I have to say the colour is very striking, even better in the flesh/wood

I also have the flashback delay and the corona chorus and both work really well, the chorus is lovely! TC have definitely produced some great pedals with these

I have the dark matter and it's very impressive, very clear and no loss of bass frequencies

ok, I have heard that the passive AB1 sounds like an active output wise and I suppose an amp has a preamp so probably no need for the active! (and it would save about £200!!)

Anyone with experience?
