  1. Up for sale is my Epiphone Masterbilt DeLuxe Century archtop acoustic bass. I bought this new in 2018 and have gigged it regularly since. Although well gigged, it has been babied so is in great condition, with only a couple of small marks on the body. Fitted with Labella 760N Black Nylon strings, which I think are an improvement on the stock D'addario tapewounds. The original piezo pickups on these are ok, but I wanted something better, so I had some dialog with Aaron at Kent Armstrong pickups about other options that would work for me. He wound me a custom floating pickup which transformed the live sound, giving a lovely warm, full tone. This has been wired directly to the output jack, with the piezo disconnected. The bass now has a beautiful double bass type sound which worked brilliantly for the old time stuff I played. Also sounds great unplugged, and is louder with roundwounds, but I prefer the tone of the nylon strings. The bass has the matching Epiphone hard case. I will include some Bobs Fits F hole blockers made especially for the bass. I got these in case I had any issues with feedback on bigger stages, but I’ve never had to use them. The original tuner buttons have been replaced with Schallers. £695 ono. Collection from Beccles, Suffolk. I have a box so shipping is also a possibility. Cheers.
  2. I’m interested if they are still available.
  3. There's a Transcribed Scores book you can probably find on eBay.
  4. Brilliant acoustic bass case in perfect condition. Save a chunk on a new one. £100 collected from Beccles, Suffolk.
  5. Lovely short scale bass, complete with Fender gig bag. These are fun to play and sound great. Excellent condition and nicely set up. Collection preferred from Beccles, Suffolk. Postage is possible.
  6. I've ended up getting a red one to go with my brown. Still loving these basses.
  7. I'm looking to swap/part-exchange my Gretsch New Yorker for an electric guitar. It's a lovely guitar in great condition, fitted with Martin Monel 11-52 strings and with an action of 2mm at the 12th fret. It plays really well and sounds great. I have lighter strings on it as a wrist injury means I struggle with heavier. That's the reason I'd prefer an electric, to go even lighter on the strings. I have a JJB Prestige 220 transducer pickup (basically a K & K Pure Archtop) that I was going to have fitted, but have never got around to. I will include that along with a hardcase. Swap wise, I'd prefer something traditional (nothing too modern or pointy). The Gretsch would be around £350 in trade value, and I'm happy to add a bit of cash. Please let me know if you have anything and are interested. Cheers.
  8. I already had an Epiphone Rivoli hard case which fits it perfectly. I also wanted a gig bag and can recommend these: https://www.thomann.de/gb/rockbag_starline_hollowbody_e_bass_bag.htm
  9. Just incase it helps anyone in the future, a tech found the fault to be a connection between the pre and power amp sections.
  10. Thanks for the help. I’ve gone through the advice and it seems the power amp is ok, as a VT bass pedal into the effects return works. The effects out into another amp gives nothing. It seems to be the preamp. I’ll get some compressed air and spray into the input jack incase there’s an issue there. If not I’ll need someone to take it apart I guess. 😬
  11. My Tecamp 112 combo has a problem. I turned it on today, and although there is power, there is no output. With the gain and master volume cranked there’s a very week signal. I’ve hoovered the jacks but that’s about as far as my technical abilities go. I have a gig next week so am a bit worried. Any advice would be appreciated.
  12. It does have an arched front and back. It’s also extremely light which is a plus for me. I’m pretty smitten, being a fan of hollow basses and P pickups. I went for the Walnut which is darker than expected in the flesh. I might save for a cherry too as I’m that into them (and like a backup). Fitted with TI flats it does everything I need.
  13. Sorry, my bad.
  14. Up for sale is my Tuscany Spider resonator bass. This has been well looked after so is in great condition. Fitted with Status Half Wound 45-105 strings which give a lovely warm, full tone through the lipstick pickup. Also sounds great unplugged, and sits nicely with an acoustic guitar when using a plectrum. I’ll also include some D’addario 45-105 round wounds which give a bit more volume acoustically. A great bass to leave in the leaving room to noodle on whilst watching tv. Also prefect for acoustic bands. It’s 30” scale and intonates great up the neck. Collection from Beccles, Suffolk. Or I have a box so shipping is also ok. £350

  15. I've just got one of these and I love it!
  16. Possibly interested in a part exchange with an electric guitar.
  17. I'll be Derby way in a few weeks if that helps anyone with collection.
  18. Brilliant archtop guitar in great condition. These guitars project really well and can be very loud. Fitted with Martin Retro 11-52 Monel strings, and set up with an action at the 12th fret of 2.5mm on the bass side and 2mm on the treble. Comes with Loar case. I have a box so can post.

  19. I love Epiphone basses. My two Rivolis (both in the Classifieds as one needs to go 😩😞 My previously owned archtop basses: I’ve also had an EB0 in the past which was great fun.
  20. Up for sale is my sunburst 1997 Epiphone Rivoli Reissue bass. A great playing and sounding bass in lovely condition. It has a few light scratches, some tarnishing on the bridge, but nothing bad condition wise. Set up with La Bella 760FL flatwound strings for extra thump. A reluctant sale. Collection much preferred from Beccles, Suffolk. I do have a box so could pack up for a courier.
  21. Sold a pickup to Andy. Easy to deal with and highly recommended. Cheers.
