  1. Bumperoony for this.

Had this on long term hold, but his situation has changed unfortunately.

Dropping price down to £300- though I'm in no major rush to sell as they do sound great as a pair on that bigger gigs.

    Thanks

I had a mate who used to live in Wymondham, so I spent some time there occasionally. There was a rehearsal place called the Woodshack he used to use, I went there a couple of times. They used to have various flyers and ads for local events on display. Maybe start there (if its still there of course, this was about 10 years ago) I'm sure the staff can advise on the local scene.

EDIT- There was also a place called Plug Studios in Norwich. Maybe try there too.

The Woodshack closed a good few years ago now. Woody who used to run it, closed up. Shame really, as it was small, but really relaxed.

Plug is good- loads more rooms.

Music wise, The Brickmakers have loads of bands.

  3. Immaculate German Sadowsky 5 MJ Limited Edition bass for sale.

I got this on a trade swap on here for my Roscoe, and added £200 on top, so owes me £2100.

This bass is absolutely stunning, but I’m finding that I’m still just using my Will Lee 5 for everything.

It’s as new, with just a minute mark on the back of the neck, as shown in the photos- I knew it was there, but had to try and find it, it’s that small.

I’ve gigged it once, but I doubt if it’s had many gigs at all, before I got it.

Comes with the Sadowsky gig bag, and all of the stuff inside.

Weight on my scales is 7lbs 4 ounces- and feels super lightweight on a strap.

There’s a few YouTube videos of this model, but this is the Limited Edition run- I think they do one every year.

I’m not prepared to ship this, so a meet up will be good.

Trade wise - PJ5 or P5. (US Lakeland, Vincent Akkurat, Jap Sadowsky, Nash etc). Either of these with monies either way.

Or maybe a Sadowsky metroline M5.

Thanks for looking. If you want anymore pictures, then just message.

    Paul

  4. I bought this a while ago- just before they bought out the v4 I think.

Took it out of its box, went through all the sounds, then realised that it wasn’t for me. Been sat in a cupboard for about a year I reckon.

I was sure that I’d put this up for sale before, but can’t seem to find the ad, so putting it up again.

Price is £110 incl postage (UK only).

     Thanks

  5. Roscoe LG3005 up for sale.

I bought this a few months ago, but I’m probably not going to gig it regularly, so it’s up for sale. I’ve done two gigs recently with it, but it’s not for me really.

Putting it up, for what I paid for it- though there’s a brand new set of DR Fat Beams that I put on it last week.

    35” scale.

    18mm string spacing.

    45mm nut width.

9.4-9.7 lbs weight, slightly different between two scales.

One piece body, quilted top, matching quilting on headstock.

    Bartolini pick ups.

Bartolini NTMB-918F pre amp - 4 knob (vol, blend, stacked treble/bass, and push pull mid, which I think changes the mid frequency). Trim pot at rear, which I believe may be a master gain out- similar to some Status basses.

It’s pretty much immaculate, with a couple of tiny indents on the neck- shown on photos.

Three of ferrules have a split, but this is just cosmetic I reckon- the guy I bought it from was a guitar repairer, and he said he’d never gotten around to replacing them.

    USA Hipshot tuners.

Comes with the Roscoe branded hard case.

Trade wise I’m interested in Sadowsky Will Lee 5 strings (Japanese or German). German Sadowsky 5 string single pick up MM style. PJ5 Sads too. US Lakland 5P. Or maybe NS CR4M or 5M.

Also Vincent 5s - so that sort of thing.

Can add a bit of cash for the right trade if required.

    Thanks for looking.

Maybe suspended sentence doesn't mean the same thing over there as it does in this colony????

A suspended sentence is your one chance at redemption. If you come up for the same offence within the timeframe set by the first judge then the next judge adds the original sentence to your one for the new offence.

    Both barrels indeed.

I'm not an expert, but I thought that was the basis of the suspended sentence over here too. Although it's not really ever invoked.

    I could be wrong....

  7. I picked this up 3 weeks ago locally to me, on the way to a ska gig (used my regular bass), then used the Roscoe the next night at a function band gig- thought it’d be more fitting.

It came with black sticky strings, so put on some others and gave it a decent clean up.

There’s no doubt that it’s an absolutely superb bass, but still unsure if it’s for me or not. The 35” scale on it is unnoticeable really, but the 18mm spacing, weirdly is (I’m so used to 19mm).
So the jury’s still out on it for me.

  8. I bought this last Friday week, so have had it now for around a week and half.

It was local to me, and stopped on the way to a Ska gig. I still used my Jazz type 5er that night, but used the Roscoe the next night for the party band gig.

I’m not a fan of these sticky black strings on it - also they’ve appeared to leave sort of tram line residues all over the fingerboard, so I’ll clean them off when I change strings. Will have to have a search on what most folks use with these basses.

It’s completely different to my Japanese Sadowsky Will Lee 5 - which was the idea really. I’ve no way to measure, but I’d say it’s 18mm at the bridge, as opposed to the 19 on the Sadowsky. Also the fingerboard radius is pretty flat, and the action is crazily low, making it a breeze to play. As mentioned by others, the B string is epic.

Sorry that the pictures aren’t that good…
