  1. Needed a pre amp pedal as quick as , for the weekend and ongoing , due to my Sonic Farm dying on me , and no one able to fix it that I can find .

Checked various sites , and settled on a second hand Tech 21 Para Driver , from Bass Direct .

Went online on Wednesday at work , and was ordered at 15:33 hrs .

Got an E mail from Royal Mail yesterday at 14:09 hrs to say delivered .

Can't fault that service at all .

  2. Absolutely immaculate Stingray Special 5.
Bought from The Gallery last month, but I probably am not going to gig it.
2018 model, and there’s not a mark on it.
It looks like the previous owner had it from new, and never ever been taken out at all. It’s so new, with a lovely sparkling finish, that I’m almost reluctant to get it marked. The case is without a mark too. So I’d say it’d just stayed in their house.

Another one of my impulse buys, that’ll cost me money- in true Basschat fashion. So going to lose on it.

Link to the Gallery listing is -

I’m up for trades of either similar monetary value, or something cheaper with cash my way.
Got to be a 5er, but no Jazz type basses please, as I just can’t get on with them.
I like 5P types, Sadowsky moderns/PJs etc. Also might be tempted by an EUB, or Aggie 751, Berg speakers etc

So hit me up with trade options. I’m open to a lot of stuff.

    Thanks

  3. I've had my Sonic Farm 2idi stop working .

The XLR line out , XLR DI , and 1/4" unbalanced out , are all dead .

The 1/4" thru still works , and I can still use the aux and headphone mini jacks - so still use it for practicing .

I'm having a real headache trying to find anyone local to me (East Anglia) , who'll touch it .

    I've E mailed Sonic Farm direct , but they've not replied .

Anyone on here know of someone who's local to me - and trustworthy , as I've been ripped off in the past .

    Thanks

  4. If Graham is going to Holt, then he’ll probably be going M25, then either M11 or A1M and A505.
Then A134 after Thetford on way to Swaffham, Fakenham to Holt.
You’ll be driving through my village (Mundford) on A134

  5. This cab is still here, with the brand new unused extra casters, and a Great Gramma thrown in.
Christmas coming up, and all those festive songs chucked in on the December gigs, will sound even better through this cab.
Can do trades with pedals- even with cash my way if needed.
I’ve got gigs in Ipswich, The Broads, and Long Sutton, with what’s left of this year- if a meet up is better than a pick up.
    Thanks

I pretty much recorded it all (inc US stuff) on VHS video. There may be a few bits towards the end that got missed, but most of it is recorded for posterity on a large number of TDK 180 tapes!

Re. Zeppelin. There’s been recriminations over the years… https://faroutmagazine.co.uk/jimmy-page-regrets-led-zeppelins-reunion-phil-collins/

I watched it pretty much from around 4/5 pm onwards, as I had to go out with the family- I was 16.

As for the Zep set…. Well I think Phil Collins said in that link that he was under prepared. But they had Tony Thompson already on board, who was touted at the time as one of the world’s best drummers . So my take is that it was ego only on them insisting on two drummers- and some of Page’s playing was shoddy as sh*t. But who am I to criticise really- I play in pubs, clubs and Holiday Camps.

And two drummers? Who do they think they are? Adam and the Ants? Ha

  7. The clear out of stuff continues .

Aria catalogue . Probably early to mid 80's . All the SB/TSB basses , Pro11 RS/TS/YS etc guitars , plus all the acoustics .

Yamaha catalogue - 1990. All guitars and basses from the era.

Peavey catalogue - Mid 80's ? The whole guitar and bass ranges , with a section at the back with all the specs.

HH catalogues , two of them . Both show as 1980. One shows the Performer range for guitar and bass , and the other is a user manual for the bass range.

Mesa Boogie catalogue - 1984 . From Rocky road. Full range of guitar and bass amps, individual speakers and valves.

Mesa Boogie A4 envelope from Rock road - chocca full of various Boogie guitar and bass stuff . Date stamp on postage is 1993 (I got them to send this to me) , and looks like there's pretty much everything from that era.

Trace Elliot MKV catalogue - all glossy and nice . I reckon mid 80's , by looking at the pictures of Mark King and Mike Porcaro .

Trace Elliot Series 6 operating instructions manual . List of all the Series 6 stuff inside , how to hook up etc . I have two of these.

Trace Elliot speaker badges . Never used , and still have the sticker peel on them - been stored for over 30 years .

I suspect that there's some quite rare stuff amongst all of that , and quite trick to price .

£50 signed for 1st class delivery - for the lot

  8. Cab now only left .

£100 . Will come with brand new unused proper Eden casters for this cab - originals broke , so ordered new ones years ago , still packaged up and never put on .

Also will will throw in a Great Gramma pad - one of the original ones , and top condition as always stored in the box .
