1. Ellorr Im 20 years old, been playing for about five years now, was in a band a couple of years ago but not really done much band wise since, apart from a jam with a few of my mates now and again (and the odd "come back drunk from town and jam with my house mate on drums at 3am because it seemed like a good idea at the time" ) I have about 15 gig's under my belt and been to the studio. I suppose my root influence would be Flea as that was the reason I started playing, so my improvisation is OK, but my music taste/influence is more around a mix of bands such as; Brandnew Alexisonfire Anberlin Arctic Monkeys Bloc Party Cancer Bats Comeback Kid The Cribs Every Time I Die The Fall Of Troy Motion City Soundtrack They're just cherry picked from iTunes from the top of the list. Theres a bit of variation in there and I love all these types of bands. I've got half decent gear (see sig) and have my own transport, to add to the picture. Any more info just PM me, it's kind of hard writing this lol! Ta!
2. Just to add the the CL vs AD200B, I had the same decision, and as you can see from my sig the Orange won. Oh and if you play heavy metal, Norma Jean, Cancer Bats and Converge to name a couple, use the AD200B
3. Well I got a new head! So I could try and work out what was wrong with the cab, ... turns out it was the speakon cable! My Orange doesn't have speakon out's so I've had to use a standard jack cable, plugged it in and its completely fine! Thanks for the help!

6.
Really nice looking, playing and sounding CIJ Fender '51 Precision Reissue. These are pretty rare finds. Bridge & Pickup Covers, a Finger Rest and an upgraded SCPB2 Pickup by Seymour Duncan installed on this bass. The neck is AMAZING! In fact, some have said it's as close to a Reverend Rumblefish as you're going to find without resting your hand on some Phenolic Resin! Serial Q011048 indicates Made between 2002 and 2004 Current mid-gauge Roundwounds. Small pencil eraser size chip on the input side edge. Out of sight. No Worries. US Retail is £737 - looking to get £450 insured and shipped from the US. Not interested in trades at present. Thanks. 7.
If skidmissouri's not interested in trading his k, perhaps we could do a deal, you'r B for my R?
mhmm, is it a US made R?
8.
a lot of low cost for Rome.....come here..spend a nice weekend.....we eat some nice italian stuff and good wine....and you'll back with a f***ing great jazz bass in Uk ......so easy
If Carlsberg did selling basses ...
9. Forum rules stipulate that each classified listing must have a price associated. Name your price! Or do you have a trade in mind? I have a mint condition B, I could put forward as a trade, obviously with cash your way!
10. slight price difference lol!
11. Ta dude, I've given him a PM, I'd like to give a fellow forum member some support!
12.
Howard. He's sort of rugged, not pretty in the conventoinal sense, and i've not noticed if he has spots, but he is more than capable of making a scratch plate.
haha! nice Whats his name on here, I can't seem to locate him haha!
13. As title I'd like a black pickguard for my JM4 ... Sandberg can send me one but it won't fit as they are custom made for each bass they make (also the price and turn around time are silly). I can trace the current one for the exact size. Any help would be great
14.
Not necessarily. From Dawson's website (http://www.dawsons.co.uk/acatalog/Finance_Information_about_the_Take_it_Away_Scheme.html): "Although it has been created primarily to assist those who might otherwise be unable to afford the right instrument, the scheme is open to all. Applicants must be over 18 years old and a permanent resident of the UK. You can use Take it away to finance the purchase of any kind of musical instrument, whether new or reconditioned, from a tabla to a tenor horn, a bass guitar to a berimbau. You can also include music stands, stools, sheet music, amplifiers, equipment and sometimes tuition as part of your loan."
That say's to me I'd have to buy a bass and an amplifier to be able to be eligible. Probs just go for an interest payable one, GAK will have them avaliable the end of the month. Shame really because city music in Brum have offered me an AD200B for £1100 outright :/
15. Im already gassing chocolate thunder haha!
16. This is the reason Im swaying towards the Orange (need to check out the matamp stuff), DIRT at a decent level, do you think it would pair ok with my SVT410HLF, I don't really want to have to shell out for a new cab!
17. Alot of dealers are now doing this "take away" scheme. You pay a 10% deposit of the overall amount, then pay the rest off in 9 monthly installments. Soundslive do it for an example. Ahh, I'd defiantly be looking at the CL then, I don't want to have to go mental with volume for my desired tone, I'd love an AV but obviously only get them second hand. I'll defiantly be giving matamp a call then. woody thats a good question actually!
18.
Consider a Matamp too.
I don't think they do a finance deal otherwise I would (Don't mean to sound cheap)
19. Ellor, I'm getting a new bass head, the three(ish) choices I have narrowed down to are, Orange AD200B, Aguilar AG500, Ampeg SVT CL/VR. I love the tone of all three, and Im stumped! Could someone tell me the main difference in tone between the CL and VR, I haven't played the VR (have played the CL) and would rather one of you guys tell me the difference rather than trying to hunt one in a shop! Thanks dudes.
20.
The White Falcon does it for me (Jack Lawrence plays one):
I like, alot.
21.
The only Behringer items I've used are a few pedals. Perfectly adequate for the job, if a tad flimsy. Their QC gets a bad rap from time to time but I've not had any problems. If Behringer are causing some manufacturers a little wallet-ache, so much the better. It might drive prices down.
Hopefully!
22. I was pointing out the cosmetical similarities and thought it funny that Loud haven't done anything about it. I've never played through one of the Behringers so I can't comment on the sound or reliability, and I can agree some of the studio/recording stuff does the job. Though I have to admit I kind of see the amps as a sort of car boot rip off of Nike style affair
23. I like the matt black finish on that aswell, querkyest P bass I've seen. (Feel free to correct my spelling)
