1. I've just taken delivery of Jim's JM4 Supreme in Cream ... GAS for basses has now completely gone! I love it more than a fat kid loves cake. Now just got to choose my perfect head and Im done for a year or so.
2. haha, well we knew that! It's a shame that companies probably sell these off as a great starter amp to unbeknown newbies!
3. pahaha, I've seen them before but for some blind reason I didn't make the resemblance!!
4. Have you got a link to the Ashdown rip off dude?
5. Sorry if this has been bought up before but .... http://www.dv247.com/guitars/behringer-ult...amp-head--38133 What the hell lol! Even the naming convention is nearly identical! My hatred for the company just gets worse.
6. bought a Sandberg JM4 Supreme from Jim, pleasure to deal with the guy, absolute bargain!
7. Is it a bad time of year or something? Usually the Sandbergs are snapped up in hours!
8. Just sold an amp to ianSB, picked it up the next day, paid in cash, pleasure to do business with I'll have some batteries for the sansamp next time ...
9.
Heres mine. Amp is a B200r, Bass is Squier Vintage modified P-bass TB with Jazz Flats and lowered pick up(pole pieces too) and Bass Muff. Sounds pretty decent and after having many different set ups over the years this one pretty much is where I'll stay for a while. May only be a humble Squier but I really enjoy playing it and surprising people with my sound from this rig.
These looks the bee's!
10.
Hi Alex it could be the tweeter, broken woofers (speakers) tend to buzz and fart, tweeters/horns crackle, as the can burn out more easily. Turn off. or fully reduce the level of the tweeter and try again, so you can ommit this option. Steve.
I'll have a play when I get home, *edited out extremely stupid question* Do you know how to open it up so I can check what speakers are in there, or am I better off taking it to PMT?
11. Im getting a crackling noise from the top left speaker on my cab at higher volumes (well sort of ... 5). Is it more likely to be the connection or the speaker itself as i doesn't crackle at low volumes? How much would you say it would cost if I'd have to replace the speaker? Ta very muchly.
12.
Guy, Martin,Chris and Mark at Ashdown all have a great reputation for customer service (ok, I am biased as I know them) and would do anything to help customers with genuine problems/gripes etc. This one is taking the piss a little though mate, TBH.
So your £800 LED tv stops working after 2.5 years and it's out of the 1 year warranty, would you just dispose of it and get a new one? I don't think this is taking the piss at all unless the item has not been used in compliance with the manufacturers recommendations. Your covered by the "Sale of Goods" act for 6 years from when you bought it. The responsibility does lye with PMT so theres no point speaking to Ashdown!
You've fixed it, now sell it, put owning an Ashdown down to experience, buy something better and never darken their door again!!
+1

14. Sold I hope everyone's had a good Christmas For sale I have a USA built Ampeg SVT450H The reason I'm selling this is because I bought the Sandberg JM4 Supreme from Jim and I have completely skint myself! I was going to upgrade anyway so I'm just going to use my sansamp into a keyboard amp for a couple of months until I can get an SVT 3. As the pictures show, the tolex is spotless. The only bad points are that one of the feet is missing (bought it like this) and the three last sliders have snapped (still enough slider left to be able to adjust). I can provide the perfect size "lid" so the amp sits securely , I've not had a problem using it like this, hence not replacing the foot (this can be done for a couple of quid). I'm looking for £320 ono, collection from Stafford Midlands or you can arrange a courier (at your own risk). Feel free to come try it out. http://www.ampeg.com/products/classic/svt450h/index.html Thanks

16. I played the P bass variant in PMT a couple of weeks ago ... I own an MIA P bass and, I am a MIM snob. Lets just say I left the store with my tail between my legs, the neck felt soooo good and it had great tone. So to make me feel better, I went and played with the Sandbergs which were only about £100 more
17. It was the Reading festival highlights I got to see them at Leeds festival (secret show) and was bloody amazing!
18.
without the vocoder ? i though all microkorgs had the 'coder
I should make it clearer, its the mic that clips onto the back that's missing, so it can be replaced. I've plugged a standard mic in a it still works.
19.
PX for a DHA VT-1 Bass purist?
I only really use my BDDI, sorry pal.
20. Is anyone interested in a Microkorg, good condition apart from a tiny little dint on the top, but without the vocoder. Looking at traders for Jazz basses or ampeg gear, obviously with money your way £180 Delivered.
