Would it be of interest if I were to bring down a drumkit? I'd have to rent it as I've just sold mine....but if I came, would the addition of being able to jam with drums be welcome, or detract from the conversation-friendly volume level?

Alex James (Blur) - Best Bass Line = Beetlebum.
What the hell? -
I'd say those were 'Mighty Mite' which in itself doesn't mean a great deal as it's somewhat of a generic name. What about a shot of the underneath of the pickups as this might give further clues?
-
Now that really irritates me, it's an advert - why do people not read these things back to themselves?
Also, you don't have to be David Bailey to realize that when taking photos of a guitar, it might be wise to use portrait orientation.
Gah. -
Use the end you don't strike

Matches. Don't go the superglue route - pack a match or two in there and all sorted
-
Glad the bass arrived there ok - god bless UPS and their fine men in brown!
-
Depends on what you are used to. They have quite a fair amount of power for their 'meagre' 90 watts, they actually put out a lot of noise.
If you're a player who puts a good sound into the amp (i.e. have a good bass, technique and perhaps a decent preamp) - you'll get a good sound from it without doubt.
Cheers,
James -
I am afraid not

I really shouldn't, but I am interested in this - however one thing worries me a touch about the Brass nut, as from the pics it looks like there are barely any slots in it and the strings are sort of sitting on top. Is this the case?
Thanks!

Err....yes....erm, no.
Actually, I do need to take some, but it's now pretty much dark and they won't really come out. Will take some tomorrow when I'm back from work, but for reference, it's this one!

Thanks mate, I really hate this - I very rarely put anything on for an auction and prefer buy it now with best offer...but as I need the space I have little choice. I'll be gutted if it doesn't go for much!
Cheers,
James -
What's the replacement power supply like? Some of those Maplin jobbies are known to be quite noisy...
Thanks!

Last hour and I can barely watch, it's uncomfortable viewing!
