9.
I think tribute bands are the future of rock 'n' roll. It is obvious that, as PC gaming etc becomes more popular amongst the kids, us oldies are going to be the only ones interested in rock etc so, gradually, over a period of the next twenty years, it will become like the old music hall stuff and exist only as a nostalgia trip. We will all get dressed up oince a week and go to themed venues like the Granary in Bristol or the Marquee in London and watch tribute bands. We won't need to waste our money on buying new stuff, except teh tribute bands cds and dvds, because we will have had it for years. It'll be great.
not true im more into rock music than call of duty 4 or whatever
 10.
Another curiosity, what makes you want to try fretless bass for rock stuff?
well i just love les claypools slap sound and other non rock fretless players ie jaco, victor but i also like deep fingerstyle sounds ie jamerson, John p jones and im not sure if you can get that sound on a fretless and also will you get damage on the nek even if you have a slap plate
 11. maybe a few years away but hey im thinking getting a fretless when im old enough to gig lol and just wondering that would fretless be suitable for what i play ie: tapping and slapping(ill get slap plate), fingerstyle, also simple punk lines cos i know fretless is usually used for like smooth jazzy type stuff, but would it work for rhcp, ledzepie sorta stuff its random i know megalolz
 12. what/who made you play bass i dont mean made you as in someone forcing you to play it but what made you pick up the bass for me its bruce foxton, the jam aint one of my fav bands, but they turned me from rap/r&b to rock/jazz/funk

 16.
Really? If you asked the general public, I would wager Macca would come above Flea. I don't think the majority of the general public would even know who Flea is.
The general public probably wouldnt of heard of him But.. they can tell he is a good bassists by listening to higher ground, aeroplane, coffee shop etc Jaco may be a better player but its not like you 'the chicken' on bbc radio 2
