1. See if you can chat to mike (one of the reps) from proel, he's normally ace with things like this.
 2. I think it's quite a hit and miss thing really. Nash had an evo 500 pre which sounded 'ok' so he got rid of it, but I have a 500 evo II head which sounds great - no muddyness at all. Never been a fan of 15's with an ashdown head mind - since I got the 8x10 the clarity is superb and so 'zingy' with my stingray

Would you want casters on the amplifier for added portability? Yes 7. Would you want the input to be in the back? Yes 8. Would you want the Ohm rating to be 4? Yes 9. Would you want the power rating to be over 200 watts? Yes 10. Is a metal grille cover attractive on an amplifier? Yes - but also sturdy enough to take a prang on the road.
 6. I can pass you on a number for a guy who has some awesome kit if you like - pm me if you want his number. He has 3 different rigs, going from as small as you like up to a logic ethos system.
 7. What spec/size do you need?
 8.
I think your just unlucky mate! I own a ashdown ABM500 RCII and mine has never let me down for the last two years!!!!!!!!!!
Same!

 13.
Sorry, was still a bit testy earlier from a gig last night. A band of 14/15 year olds playing 'twee indie pop' and mumbling into the mic at a level quieter than ordinary conversation. Daddy of the singer then went off on one at me because he couldnt hear the vocals over the drums. The drummer was wailing on the cymbals like they were the guy who didnt call his sister back after a date, and the guitarists kept turning their amps up and up. Argh.
I can completely relate to that, so don't worry My band gig a fair bit, and sound mixes vary 50/50 in quality for us really. The guys and gals in the welsh club in cardiff always do a sterling job though. I don't do sound that much these days, and when I fill in it's normally some metal/hardcore bands, but now and again I will get to do sound for a a gem of a band which makes it all worth while! I did sound for these guys a while back, and their input list was a nightmare for the place I was doing it but I enjoyed engineering them so much! http://www.myspace.com/thelongwinters But yes - writing down the headline bands settings is vital and takes about a minute!! I have specific sheets for the desk I work with ready to go and add settings to.
 14. GHS boomers - 50-115. I like D'addarios too though, but because of where I work I get the boomers very cheap! Boomers are cheap on thomann too just incase anyone else likes them.
