    Been playing my Lakland 55-01 almost exclusively over the last couple of weeks (through necessity for an upcoming gig), and it's just brilliant. These hit so far above their weight for the money!!

      Having played the Korean and US laklands back to back and blind, I really couldn't tell them apart. Still one of my fav 5 string necks.

      Unless I had money to burn, I wouldn't consider 'upgrading' it to a US model. I've upgraded the pickups and preamp, and everything else is solid!

      My 55-02 has the nicest 5 string neck I've played. Perfect for a low action and perfect string spacing. And that B string! I can't see how the US models can be that much better except in small details. Amazing basses, Laklands.
