Dodgy Pot J Vol Pot?..
Howz about with the P on 50%?
P works perfectly at any volume. J works perfectly upto 50%, soloed or with p. Pots all seem fine, no static when turning.

I have a new (to me at least) fender pj. The p soloed sounds great. The jazz soloed has a really loud buzz, much louder than typical 60 cycle hum.
The funny thing is if I turn the jazz volume down 50% or less either soloed or with p on full, the loud buzz disappears completely. I checked the wiring, there's no loose wires or bad solder joints. Any ideas why the jazz pup is so noisy when above 50% with p pup or soloed?

There you go @hooky_lowdown.
This schematic from Cadfael works for 2 Jazz Bass pickups too or whatever type you want.
Thank you. Just need to brush up on my German now. 👍

Scratch all of what I wrote, just so that I understand, you want the equivalent of the above, but as if the push/pull is always in series mode?
Nope. No push/pull or series/parallel.
I'm looking for a diagram which is Series only using V/V/T wiring?

Make sure you credit Cadfael for their excellent diagrams (there's a whole book of them online) - unless you are Cadfael, that is...
Do they have one for a series only V/V/T loom?
-
Looking for series only, don't require series/parallel.

I'm wanting to wire my jazz in series, for more beefy sound and more output. Not fussed about versatility as I usually have both pups on full anyway.
Is there a diagram to use for a V/V/T loom in series? I know I need to wire the the two pups together. 😎

For sale is my 1989 Squier Precision bass Made in Korea. I believe these late 80s MIK basses were made from Japanese Squier parts, shipped and assembled in Korea to start production at the Samick factory, you can certainly tell the quality.
The bass has a lovely dark rosewood slab fretboard and glossy amber maple neck (silky smooth, not sticky), with Schaller licensed tuners. Gloss black body with dark red tortoiseshell pickguard, and finger rest in 70s position. In overall very good condition for a bass almost 35 years old, does have marks, small scratches and dings (especially around the sides), commensurate with age. New Rotosound roundwound strings.

For sale a Roadworn fully loaded Jazz body in sunburst with mint green pickguard. I got this in a trade just before Christmas and don’t have a need for it now, so up for sale. It weighs 2.18lbs, with a 63.9mm neck pocket. I don’t know what the wood it, but has a nice grain running through it. It’s roadworn/relic with some dings, scratches and marks, and heavy wear on the top shoulder. I don’t know the origin, may be an aftermarket body with decent pickups and bridge. Just needs a neck, strings and strap locks. A nice little project for someone.

For sale a set of original 1970s PAF DiMarzio Model J Pickups. These came out of a my newly acquired Fender 1977 Jazz. Sound fantastic, but I’ve replaced them with a more modern sounding set of SD Quarter Pounders, so these are up for sale. In very good condition, some tarnishing to chrome poles which could be removed, but these pickups have earned there wear. No screws, sorry.
