I was under the impression that the G2202 only had one pickup and the G1222 was the 2 pickup version
Then you've answered your own question.

It's a G2202.

What’s the neck width at the nut, if you don’t mind me asking?

@hooky_lowdownDid you sell this?
Still available.

The stock pickups on my Spel were ok, dropped in some 2021 Squier CV late 50s pups (alnico), now it sounds every bit as cool as it looks. 😎

Love the visuals, but not yet tried one to see if I could get along with one. There was a DeArmond one on eBay a couple of days back that had such a stupidly low BIN I nearly bit, but was sensible for once. Looks to have gone now.
There's a red one on eBay currently. Looking at the position of the P pickup, I'm thinking it's screaming out for a big chrome mudbucker next to the neck.

I know the Guild is a different beast to the DeArmond, but what are people's thoughts on the JetStar bass, shape, colours (I like them in green, purple or black)?
I love the 60s styling, and general uniqueness of these. 🤩

It might just be that but I noticed a little bit of fret chatter on the first couple of frets if I dig in when I play so that along with the little bit of fret buzz on the upper frets makes me think that maybe there are a couple of high frets on the bass
Sometimes new basses have slightly high frets, this is because they're not seated properly. If you get a screwdriver with a softish rubber handle, not the solid plastic kind. Use the heel of the screwdriver and press down on the high frets they often become seated properly and no fret buzz.

Whats annoying is some of the latter P50s have a hole under the scratchplate to help with the wire routing... meaning it cant be a 'scratchplate off'
I didn't know this, thanks for the heads up.

Does anyone know if Harley Benton necks are interchangeable? I'm thinking of getting a pb50 and replacing the maple neck (as I'm not a fan of maple necks) with a pb20, has anyone tried this before?

Fender 7150 sound warm straight out the packed, the output is lower than nickel plated rounds, I have some 7150's on my short scale precision, at the lower tension they sound dark, not so much warm anymore. 😎

That's interesting, I really like TI Flats, can I ask what's better about the LaBellas?
Eude
TI and Chrome's are very different to LaBellas, it's a preference of tone; as LaBella is old skool, i.e. thumpy, lacking a little definition (compared to 'modern' or 'hybrid' flats like Chrome's). TI's and Chrome's are more defined in the mids, and not as thumpy.

It does seem the low end is either on or off on the neck pickup but maybe pick up height needs adjusting
The stock pickups are known to be fairly hot, being alnico, they should have decent low end, so I agree a height adjustment may be required to taste.

Nothing needs upgrading on the Squier other than maybe the tuners. To improve it no end - have the fingerboard rolled, will feel and play much better! 👍

Does anybody know if the scratchplates of the V4 are Fender std. sizes?

Maybe if you had played the John Cage piece 4'33" you would have had more success.
This was our sound check piece for a while 😆

Yeah, the Squier doesn't match the criteria, its kinda what has prompted this post. If I wanted a sub 500 quid bass that looked like a late 50's I'd be all over it. But I want one that feels like one.
What era SB1 and Sires had the 7.5?
Why don't you get the squire and take it to a luthier and have them make the neck to your spec and refinish it?

I don't think the pickups are the neodymium version, but the ceramic one's. Neo's have PBXN written on them.
