I'm a fingerstyle kind of guy too tbh but have slowly appreciated the picking technique and its use in different context. The percussive and driving tone really works on parts especially on build up bridges. Yeah, the fret mute helps alot as I often hit open notes when I pick aggressively

Discovered this worship band called NP/Nights and this song called Diamonds has a really nice bassline and message is spot ot! Decided to learn it and practise my picking technique which I've been learning recently. What are you currently listening to or learning atm? Blessed weekend everyone! You don't require My good intention Your eyes see deeper Than what I hide behind Not just my victory You take my loses You breathe the broken things to life Once again Here is my heart All that I am Take it and make it something beautiful Here in your hands Like only you can Take it and make it something beautiful

Nice compact board! Love that Spectradrive. Very reliable and a 3 in 1 pedal ❤️

Yeah! It sounds so rich, full, cutting to the mix yet not too aggressive. I've used the C4 many times. I mostly play in church and we have an ampless setup. Excited to try out the Bassrig and empress and break it in. In the meantime, I'm looking to join any bands here in London which are in the blues/rock/funk genre. Really want to experience playing actual gigs here and be in a band with original materials. I've done a quickie comparison of my C4 and OC-2 last month. You can watch here

I'd say the Bassrig suits my taste and gives me the tone I'm after better that the B7K. Always been a fan of the ampeg sound. I love the B7k however, you can't unhear that "darkglass" signature sound even at low gain. Even the ampeg IR from shiftline that I loaded in the B7K is nowhere near what the Super Vintage can give in my experience. Also love that there is a cabsim switch that is engaged even when the pedal is off as long as you are connected to the xlr out. I love that the drive is really responsive to my attack as I dig in and the breakup point sounds like a real tube. Here's a sound sample I did earlier Everybody wants to rule the world.wav

Replaced my B7K Ultra and the Cali Compact Bass for a BassRig Super Vintage and the Empress Compressor. Decided to treat myself as I just got promoted in my work. The OC-2 preset I found for my C4 is really good and decided to let go of my OC-2. Going for a blue and industrial themed board. Compact setup for life! Next on my GAS list is a JMJ Mustang Bass ❤️

Here's my small board. Everything I need in this compact setup

Wow good to know and find out there's a Worship bassist thread here in basschat. Hello! I'm Chad, a Filipino bass player from Every Nation London! Been here in the UK for 2 years and been pretty much serving in Church on Sundays since I got here. Here's a snap of our recent Worship encounter Night which is every month. Always a joy to serve for God in music Ministry. Cheers fellow brothers and sisters in Christ!

Here's the link where you can rename your presets: https://studiocode.dev/dmcmicro-editor/ Just plug your DMC micro to the PC, no need to plug from power source just the usb cable from your laptop/pc is enough to power it up. You need to check though if your device is on V2 firmware otherwise it won't read. There's a way to update it with instructions from the Disaster Area website so just check it out. Luckily I got mine 2nd hand and has been updated to V2. Cheers! C4 is so good!

Nice board! Have you tried the DMC Micro preset editor site? You can name your presets up to 8 characters if you have the v2 firmware. Really helpful. Here's mine

Thank you for this! I've just got the C4 and absolutely love it! Have it early in my chain. I actually placed it after my OC-2 which is the first in my chain. Didn't want to let go of the OC-2 sound so I can focus on alot of modulation, filters and more experimental ambient presets that I need instead of filling all slots and going through alot. The pedal is absolutely killer!
-
Current iteration. Added the C4 and a midi controller in my chain
-
I see, I'll definitely consider this. Might also get the disaster area micro so I can easily switch presets. So much I can do with the tones I'm after apart from synth related stuff
-
Just wanted to get insights from those who have a C4 synth, where do you place it in your signal chain? I've seen people put it before compressors and what not. Just looking for ideas. Planning to to get a C4 synth to replace my proton. My current rig goes bass>tuner>compressor>oc-2>proton>b7k ultra>out. What would be the ideal chain if I were to get the C4 Synth?
-
I just decided to stick to my bare essentials. I come from a metro 16 and always find ways to fill in missing slots haha Also, it's easier to carry for me since I don't have a car yet
-
Loving my small board ❤️ Printed a sticker I designed for my DIY pick tin and filled up the empty space under the Pitchblack X mini. Decided to move on from the Strobo as it takes too much space
-
My 2023 board update. Went from Metro 16 to Mono lite. Replaced my Tone Hammer, Guma Antique Drive and MXR Vintage Bass Octave to a B7K ultra, OC-2 and a Proton V2. No regrets! Also explored putting my compressor before the DI which is last in my chain and the octaver and filtered signal is more responsive to my style of playing. I usually put the compressor right after the tuner then octaver and filter. Love what this thing sounds!

It's a sunset vertical fade inspired by Justin Raines Saratoga finish. It's a 27" scale mini jazz bass by Elegee Custom Guitars from the Philippines. I had it specifically made so I can pass it on to my future kid 😃 should he/she have interest in the lowend. Mean time I get to enjoy it for now lol Here is a full body pic along with my main bass 😃

Thanks everyone! Here is my micro board. Bought a 1spot 9V adapter and a mooer 2 way daisy chain. Everything is working perfectly. Went with the Dáddario tuner instead for a more compact look. I used a pedaltrain booster 2

Thanks mate! That's what I needed to know. Won't be introducing a digital device anytime though. Just want to build a micro board that has a tuner and a preamp as a grab and go board.
