1.
It is the way the amplifier works internally. Class A/B means the transistors are set up in a push/pull manner, picture a sine wave graph, each set only works for one half of the wave above or below the center line. Class D is a bit fiddlier and switches back and forth at a very high frequency kind of like the line was pixellated into steps, but you aren't close enough to notice. Dunno about class H, but I think the Crate power Block uses it and every thinks it is class D due to being small.
Ah... thanks for the explanation... so I'll look for class A/B then. Cheers!
 2. Thanks for the QSC recommendations. Excuse my ignorance, but what does this mean?
And operates in class A/B rather than D or H.
3. Thanks for flagging this up, cheers! Steve
 4. Thanks for the thoughts folks, I'll check them out.
 5. Hi folks, I've recently simplified set up... maybe a bit too much because I sold my Ampeg SVT 6 Pro. All I have left now is a Barefaced Big One (which works best with an amp close to 1000W of power) and a Pod X3 Live. Money's a bit tight right now and I wondered if anyone could recommend an affordable power amp that could do the Big One justice? I'm planning on just plugging into my Pod, then plugging the Pod into the power amp. Thanks for your anticipated advice! Steve
 6. Status Matrix. The bottom strings boomed and the top ones twanged like elastic bands. No weight, no body, no punch. Makes me shiver just thinking about. My Rickenbacker 4001 too. I was after the Chris Squire thing. It played like a garden hose and smelled like an old sideboard.
 7. Absolutely. AC/DC never did a thing for me either, except when I'm shedded in a rock club. Now, Jellyfish, that was a band...
 8. Good playing. But that 'song' is nothing but a bassline with scat/blues vocals over the top. Nice for some, not for me.
 9.
Am feeling a little controversial, but does anyone care? I'm tempted to say that JK & his muzak is soul-less, funk-less, pointless production-line rubbish... But that would be an insult to music that is genuinely soul-less, funk-less, pointless production-line rubbish.. And that's with or without Zender IMO.
+1 My dislike of this ego with short-man syndrome aside... I find the music insipid faux-funk made palatable for white folk who would do better to buy any early Stevie Wonder album instead. Jay Kay or Jamiroquai, it's still trendy-bar sh*t by any name.
 10.
I can't stop listening to the version of Siberian Khatru from Keys to Ascension, it's sublime.
That's weird - this week, I've been listening to exactly the same track, over and over. Such a great fat grunty bass sound.
 11.
PM'd you yesterday, Steve. Did I offend you by asking whether you took PayPal?
Hi - sorry, no you didn't offend - haven't been able to get online for a day - I've PMd you.

 19. If you want to see the ISP Decimator in action (albeit on guitar), I've added a couple of youtube links below. 23. O
I offered you £50 for the Diago three days ago and you turned me down, bizarre
Sorry, I had a rethink - you offered a fair price, it's yours if you want it, but I understand if not.
