Actually, I wanted a second 212. The honest reason I got a 115 was because I got it uber cheap from a friend who was selling off his second rig and I paid next to nothing for it. I actually played through just the 115 the other day though and was very impressed by it's top end response thanks to the tweeter and huge bottom. In honesty it's still a suitable stand alone can. None of this '15's are really bottomy' rubbish!. I'd part with the 115 for another 212 though, just for the sake of matching them up!

I find the EBS cabs handle the bottom end very very well. My 212 handles more than enough bottom end without loosing definition. I find the EBS cabs handlethe top end better than ANY others in my experience. The tweeters on the NEO range are fantastic and they love that 'Bernie ping' at the top. The cabs are a little mid shy though, which I find conpliments the GB, but I end up EQ'ing in a little mid back in with my Roscoe.

I like Bernie pickups with the GB logo on them, like these... They're pretty cool. Not keen on these with the name printed across them though. Love the colour on this bass though. Real deep aqua like. Very nice

I think they work out cheaper in the states. But not by much. Massive price tags. But the Celinders and the like of this world show you can get that kind of quality without the stupid price tag (not that they are exactly cheap!). If take this over an Alembic any day.

My baby... One thing I'm not struggling with is volume... 2ohm goodness :-) EBS Fafner, modded with blue LED's EBS Neoline 212 EBS Neoline 115 Auralex GRAMMA pad Ideally I'll change the 115 for another 212... But this 'will do' untill then :-)

They are very good live. This is the 2nd time I've seen them in 6 months an they have been great both times. They reproduce loads of sounds from the album well, including the electric xylophone! :-)

Hi guys, Just got back from the Karnivool gig at Rock City. For those of you wondering how Jon runs his effect processing here it is! I had a word with the tour manager and he let me on stage before they packed his board away... There are two rows of pedals at the back, one on top of the other with the switch unit at the front. The bottom row I couldn't get to correctly but there is a Tech 21 XXL Bass edition there

I played a number of them at bassday last year, and I would put the basses in the top few made basses I'd try. His work is up there with Overwater, Roscoe & GB. I would say it's worth investing in one soon as in a few years his prices will rocket

I have a pair of covers from these chaps... They also have many cab and amp model dimensions preset on the website so if you r lucky that they have done one before you don't need to measure up. They make custom amp bags for lightweight amps as well. Used to have one for a MarkBass head, was a well spent £40 compared to the MarkBass branded one at £90

I don't know if it's an idea suitable to you but I used to string my 5 ADADG, dropping the B and E strings a full step. Makes changing an octave nice and easy...

OK... The EBS combo is vibrating so much I can feel at the other side of the room... Me thinks it's certainly not right! Tis a bit of a let down, but fingers crossed I can sort a timely replacement and all will be well! Update - Exchange all sorted with yet more stunningly quick service from Mark @ Bass Direct. Replacement being delivered early next week. Update 2 - Collection of faulty combo happened today as promised. Yet another nod for Bass Direct's service. Looking forwards to recieving the replacement.
