1. A well known ebay seller from the states (olivia's vintage) that lists mostly vintage rickenbackers has canceled all her rick auctions today! Coincidence?
2. I have a friend in Germany who collects vintage instruments. He has more than 100 Fender vintage basses from the era 55-79. He never touches them, he barely know how to play bass. He just keep them safe in a temperature and humidity controlled room. He collects instruments and amps in the same way someone collects stamps or cars. I guess there must thousands of collectors around the world, there you have it...
3.
I can't seem to listen to the soundclips? Any idea?
Once you open the link click on play to stream the mp3.
4. I had this for sale for a friend of mine but I've decided not to lose such an opportunity and I finally purchased it for my self!! So I thought I may as well present it here on Bass Porn, so here it is 1976 Gibson The Ripper Bass 100% Original: And two sound clips: The Ripper with both pickups The Ripper with just the neck pickup Both sound clips recorded direct to Cubase 4.
5. I've decided to keep this one for myself so it is withdrawn from sale! Thank you for your offers!
6. WOW!!! GROOVE! Amazing bass sound too! Great overall recording, I think the only think that is missing is a little more definition from the drum kit and less compression there too, but it still sounds good with just an overhead and a kick mic! Old school!
7. Ruairidh bought my 65 Jazz Bass reissue! Great communication and immediate payment! Thank you!
8.
Thanks for that Beedster, although a tad annoyed, I wouldnt like to name and shame as I like to think the best of people and perhaps something happened that couldnt be avoided or someone was ill or something, but youre right an apology here and there would be nice or at least a reason. Not sure what it will make on the bay, havent had that great success on there in the past, but you never know.
I hope you are not referring to me because I clearly stated the reasons that I couldn't proceed with the payment.

10. Here is a clip with my Mustang With Flats Recorded direct to soundcard. They are webstrings flats and I haven't changed them for almost 2 years now! They still sound great and I play this bass almost everyday!
11. Nirvana's Nevermind and In Utero where recorded with a Ripper!
12. I have to switch to pro tools for a while so I'm letting my Motu Traveler go. Purchased recently from Musicstore.de, it is in great condition like new and comes along with all original boxes, manuals etc. Amazing firewire unit, near zero latency with great Mic preamps. Works great without problems even in Windows Vista. Price £500!

Double cutaway Alder body, bold on maple neck, tunomatic bridge with the metal cover, two humbucker pickups, rotary switch!! Everything is 100% original. Has some marks as expected from a well played bass. The frets are still in great shape and hardware os clean, the neck is straight and it plays like a dream!!!. Comes with original hardcase. Pictures to follow Price £680, grab it before I do
15. The placebo effect is great when it comes to the old argument about types of wood used to make instruments. Many people argue that they can hear differences between maple and rosewood boards or alder and ash bodies. I've performed a blind test once to a friend of mine, I was supposed to play my Stingray which has a maple board and then his which has a rosewood. I played mine twice and he went like " Here, here you can clearly hear that rosewood has less trebble!!"
16. I always wanted one!!! Any chance of some sound clips???
17. Great collection!!! I used to have a simillar vox!! What is your favourite?
18. Awsome collection!!!!! I wish there was a black one with maple fingerboard and a nice 70's logo
