That is a BTB 555 in your avatar isn't it? Are you happy with it? I sold my EDA905 with the intention of buing one, but ended up buying a 2nd hand (purple!!) Dean Edge 5, and saving the difference to go towards my elusive Wal 5'ver! The BTB seemed to have a much broader range of tone than the 905, which tended to sound very piano'y. It was the fishman bridge peizos which did it....

Probably. I'm sure manufacturers move different models around the globe, maybe make tweaks when put into the product range elsewhere, more likely reducing the build quality in the process, on the basis it was well received elsewhere so will help carry its sales on...

Hi Tinman, Just had a quick look around the web. Found this Czech site:- http://muzikant.cz/baskytary-7/baskytary-2...sb505-43064.php selling them new for about 500 euros.... dunno if that helps!!

12. Y'awl see! This is why we love ya! Hijack a perfectly sensible post with a good variety of sexual perversions (my chaps are friesian and shouldnt be sullied with undergarments!!!) and a drinking competition! Priorities all perfectly in place!! Just help me find my next Wal now please!!
13. Hi guys! Nice to see you all showing yer faces again! I'd just like to say how much I appreciate the enormous effort being put in to this community! I'd also like to ask how much it has cost and what financial assistance IS needed to get this thing looking pretty and working its best? I just bunged in a tenner on paypal, through the "Make A Donation" button, but it'd be good to know if that has even touched the sides, and if not, how much more would help (between us perhaps, I have to have enough left for strings!!)? Well done again, K
14. Having spent 4 years trying to push water up hill I have left Partly Animals, so looking for a new challenge! This could be anything; I love depping (and I'm very good at it!), but ideally need a pro standard band playing 3-4 times a month. I'm 50, committed but very frustrated! In my Pro life I served for 3 years as one of the several Bass players in MUD, I formed Souled Out in Bristol, then moved down to Devon about 6 years ago and after a few false starts formed soul, funk, party band, "Partly Animals" (www.partlyanimals.co.uk). I struggled for soooo long to achieve a full lineup with the same commitment and professionalism, and eventually gave up hope and the band split up before Christmas. Having licked my wounds and had a rest, I am now thinking I will have another go with the same band, so if you know of a drummer, guitarist, trumpet, sax, keys and vocals who really WANT to achieve a great, professional standard sound and do 3-4 good gigs a month then please put them in touch with me!! Alternatively if you know anyone who needs a good, reliable player, let me know please!! Thanks!
