I am interested in purchasing a Ashdown Little Bastard Amp Head and was wondering if those with experience of the unit felt the Limited Edition was worth the extra money over the mass produced version?
Apologies if this has been raised elsewhere, searched through and couldnt find anything.
Thanks -
As the title says I am selling my Hofner Violin Bass with matching hofner gigbag. I purchased this from rob_89 October 16th 2010 and it was only three months old then, 6 months old now.
The bass and gigbag are both in near mint condition, home use only for the bass.
I am only selling because I dont really like the body shape, too narrow.
[s]Selling for £330 delivered or £310 picked up. Payment via bank transfer.[/s]
These are from the same people who didn't mind selling their comfort strap which happened to have plastic clips that kept breaking and dropping like flies left right and centre, cheaply made in indochina? Well... on that account, would I buy a bass from the same people who cares so little about a selling a strap that could possibly damage my hard earned good quality bass? I would think twice!
Which then again explains why so many Bass Collection are found, as you've righlty put it.... knocking around.
Depends on the Bass Collection basses you are refering to, the original vintage Bass Collection basses from the early to mid-nineties are cracking basses, well made for the price that they now command secondhand.
I have no experience of the current Bass Collection basses, and it is these ones that are associated with the comfort strap retailer. -
Any news on release date for these, when do they become availble?

Al bought my Zoom effects pedal, paid quickly, very easy to deal with. Dont hesitate to deal with Al, recommended

Thanks for all your input, I was looking at the Antex Soldering Irons in Maplin at the weekend, will go back in this weekend and make a purchase.

Hello,
Title says it all, interested in getting a soldering iron for Christmas as I would like to be a little more self sufficient when it comes to guitar repair.
I have read up on a few different forums, but thought I would post up here as the peeps on here have not let me down in the past!
To expand on this slightly, what would you consider to be the key items required for guitar repair?
Thanks -
I am selling another of my purchases into the world of Bass Effects. I keep dabbling, but really don't use effects enough to warrant keeping this. New born baby is limiting me to snatched moments with iRig on the iPhone.
I bought the unit in mid August of this year since that time it has had no more than 1 hrs worth of use, the box is included and complete with all packaging, and includes all manuals(mint condition and untouched of course )
Selling for £200 pick-up or £215 delivered

Marty bought my Tecamp 210 Combo, lived locally so came and picked it up from me and paid via bank transfer. The whole deal was complete within one evening, from initial msg to handing over the combo.
Very easy to deal with, you can sell to Marty with confidence.

Sold to martysprior, picked up and paid for it tonight.
Feedback left.

Bump, cash preferred, but possible trade for Ampeg Micro VR or Ashdown Mini Stack Five Fifteen plus cash my way.
I got the hofners on my Epi can't get much more thuddyier
Sweet, but the only place I have seen them for sale has them at £60 , any cheaper opens? -
Any further thoughts on this, currently have rounds on my contemporary, they were there when I bought it.
I am after flats, just dont know which would be best, looking for the deep, thuddy vintage sound.
Is this bass up at £450 or 400?
It is up for £450, I resurected the old thread where it was for sale at £400. It has increased in price to cover the costs of repairs on the bodywork. -
Hey!
I know there's not much more annoying than people trying to tempt you with trades when you've clearly stated you want a cash sale only, but could I tempt you with a swap for THIS?.
Wouldn't be a bad deal on your part, if my bass takes your fancy, bearing in mind the Audere and the Nordy's and the fact that I was asking over 500 notes for it, and it's in great nick, the body only has 2 tiny marks on it. Wad'yreckon?
That is some trade you are offering on my Geddy Lee, the only problem is I am looking for a cash sale only, so I will pass this time.
Thanks -
I bought Rob's Hofner Contemporary Violin Bass. He was very easy to deal with throughout, bass and gigbag as described.

Bought an iRig from Gavin(krispn). I paid for it on Friday morning, he posted it Friday lunchtime and it arrived Saturday morning.
The iRig is a smart little gadget and as described, I totally recommend Gavin, good comms quick delivery, you wont be disappointed. -
If not a sale how about a trade, dont need any more basses though!
I was in the workshop of a well known UK luthier a while back. There was a can of Pledge sitting around.
Thanks for the info peeps, much appreciated, got myself some Dunlop 65 and Peavey Axe Wax to start, will see how I get on.
Thinking I will clean it up with the 65 and polish up with the Axe Wax.
However ET's reply does make me wonder if I am worying unduly!

'All Ashdown valve amps are built from start to finishat the companys valve centre located just down the road from the companys head office. We can make valve amps here at the same price we can make them in China. ................... So when you really go down to it, with the shipping, the duty, and the way the exchange rate is fluctuating, not to mention having to unpack everything and retest everything, we made the decision not to send any of the valve amps offshore.
Interesting, thanks for the info.
