1.
sadly, even that could potentially turn into another 'Raze' situation (extremely unlikely though) as our pal Mr Punkdude found out :)
Missed that, what happened? :)

  2.
Hi
Could you guys outline the usual proceedings when buying a bass from another forum member? i.e Without the protection of Ebay and PayPal what precautions can you take when buying from someone who is effectively a stranger to you?

    Here's what I had in mind but any suggestions would be welcome;
Do you have the original invoice?
Does the bass come with any warranty?
Is it in 100% good condition?
Has it had, or does it need a set up?
    Is there a hard case?
Could you tell me how it would be packed?
    Delivery cost?
Would you accept payment via PayPal?

    Cheers.
I think the feedback system on here works very well. If a BC'er has a good feedback thread associated with them then that is good enough for me, obviously if they are newbie's with no feedback then it can be a bit of a punt

  3. Thanks for the update, nice to know that it originated from this forum.

Whilst I know it is not an EUB, it has got a great sound to it, more authentic than the ashbory and UBass basses in my humble opinion.

I bought a bass from Paul on here last year, he really puts together great quality sounding basses, I dont know how he does it for the price.

    Thanks

  4. Purchased this via eBay a couple of weeks ago, it is a mini upright bass mounted on a tripod. The guy selling it suggested it was a Prosebass, or at least the person he bought it off had suggested that to him!

I have owned a Prosebass in the past and this does look similar in style and finish.

With Paul being a regualar on this forum, just wondered if it had belonged to anybody on here, or even if it is actually a Prosebass?

    Thanks

  5. **SOLD**

"My book 'My bass and other animals' is finally available as an audio book, read by me, from Audible.co.uk"

Its very good, was only £3.95 on iTunes when I got it

  7.
I'm assuming you mean the "scale length" if so it's standard 34" scale, if you mean how much shorter is it all together obviously it has no headstock, so several inches short! oooerr mother :)
True, I should have been clearer. :)

I meant the length of the bass as a whole, I appreciate that it is at least the headstock shorter, just wondered if the body was any smaller than a typical full sise j or p?

  8. As bids have been made on the auction I will let it run to its conclusion.

    Thanks
Hello,

Are you still looking for £120 pickup (im in Bishops Stortford) or are you letting it run on e-bay?

    Many Thanks

    Adrian
9. Thanks Tom,

It is a great looking bass, I am hoping that the Jive Bass sells first so I can keep hold of this one.

My understanding is that the Ray34 is made in Indonesia rather than the US like a Stingray. I am sure there are other differences but I do not know for sure, better throw that question open to the wider community.

    Thanks

    Mike
That looks stunning Mike. What's the difference next to a stingray?

    Have a bump.
10. I am looking to move on my Ray34, it has limited home use only, comes with the gig bag and the original hanging tags.

Condition is near mint, one very small mark on the side of the headstock which is hardly noticeable, otherwise not a mark on it, still has the pickgard protective plastic cover and the stars and stripes inspection sticker.

    £380 delivered.

    Thanks

    Mike

  11. Its a great looking bass and this is a fine example, having only had home use it is almost as new condition.

I own a couple of old SGC Nanyo basses and wanted to try one of the newer Bass Collection branded basses so I bought this, unfortunately this is a totally different bass to its predecessors in terms of size and weight, it is more in line with a standard jazz.

Details on the bass can be found here

I am looking for £120 pickup from Ipswich or Stowmarket or £140 including delivery.
