2.
Love this bass. It is a thing of beauty. The photo's do not do it justice. Buy in confidence. Andy is a thoroughly recommended seller.
Thanks Warren
 3. The great clearout continues with my 1986 Wal Fretless! This bass is in great condition for the year. It has a few light scratches on the back that are barely noticeable due to the nature of the finish ( I've tried to capture them in the photos) + a couple of fine lacquer cracks in the headstock. It has a mahogany core, stained sycamore facings and ebony fretboard. The one quirk of this model is that the position markers appear to have been moved, suggesting maybe that it was originally a fretted model and has been been defretted (having said that, the ebony fretboard might support the idea that it's always been fretted?). 5. Up for sale is my 1965 Jazz bass in excellent condition £8000ono here's Andy Baxters appraisal of this bass......... 1965 L series, Fender Jazz bass, Sunburst finish. Very clean. This bass is in excellent condition, the pickguard is beautiful, showing no signs of cracking and all metal work is still shiny. The neck shows only a small amount of play wear on the E string edge. The body has various small nicks, dings and bruises to the finish around the edges and very light buckle rash. Otherwise very light play wear. ( none of which has gone through to the wood) The metal cover over the back pickup has larger screw holes than the neck cover. This is either from a later '60s Jazz bass or, as it was a transitional period the two covers were not matched? Other than this the bass and case are all original. It's an awesome player with an amazing tone up and down the fretboard. No dead spots whatsoever. The frets show virtually zero wear. This bass has been fully set up with a fresh set of strings by my technician Chris Ward. It has a fantastic action. The truss rod works in both directions and is flush with the end of the neck. The serial is: L98037. The weight: 9.1 lbs. The pots date to the 34th week of 65. The neck dates August 65. Width at nut: 1 & 1/2" . At the 12th: 2 & 7/32" . Depth at nut 13/16". At the 12th: 1". 7.
I think Andy's had a row with his wife, she's got him tied up somewhere, broken into his account and is selling his gear...why else would somebody part with all these superb basses?? I'd like to see photos of Andy with today's paper and the bass.
So now the truth is out.......... the kid gloves are off!

I haven't stop grinning since I left his house 48.hours ago, after buying a bass from him. Bump for a great guy and honest seller
Haha! 10.
That top is absolutely stunning - the most beautiful timbers I've seen have been on Alembics. I suppose that at 2k dollars a slice for some of this stuff, you'd expect it. The curly redwood here is outstanding! Indeed, this bass has some high-end Alembics features. Actually a bit of a bargain if you look at current prices (and it should balance well!) Good luck - a beauty!
Yes - great balance due to the long horn and offset body. Looks like the list price is currently $10,000 + (& import duty, & an extra 20% due to terrible exchange rate!))
 11.
I played this Wal on Tuesday and it's an amazing example. Buy with confidence people. Andy is an honest and genuine guy.
Thanks for the vote of confidence Warren
 12.
Hi Andy, I'm interested in this beautiful WAL Bass. Could you give the most precise weight ? I live in France, and have to know how many euros it makes , 4100 , 4200 € What about the shipping ? I have built some basses on Basschat ( Clarky in London, James Alderton in Aberdeen, etc..), you can ask them about me and have some feedback. Cheers Christophe
I'll PM you Christophe
 13.
Any trades?
I'm really sorry - I'm only in a position to sell (get your stuff sold and come visit!)
 14. The £3500 is an error that I don't seem to be able to edit out - apologies for my IT incompetence! Sale Price £4000 (no trades sorry) My 1983 Wal Mk1 for sale in great condition. W2142 produced in July 1983 and signed off by Ian Waller. This bass is only showing the very slightest sign of any play wear. The frets are in excellent condition and the tuners look new with no tarnishing whatsoever. The body is in perfect condition. There are a few minor lacquer dings on the tip of the headstock (pics below) and one small one on the neck. It plays superbly (it's been set up and the electrics serviced by Paul Herman at Wal). The sound is everything you'd expect from an 80's Wal The only very minor I'd point out is that it looks like an original string tree has been removed or come away from the headstock and then been replace by a unit in a different position (pictured)
 15. 2008 Status Retroglide for sale (no trades sorry) I purchased this new in 2008 and met Mark to get it signed (which was a great experience because he's a top bloke!) 16.5mm string spacing, 32'' Scale, Woven Chrome Finish, Bendwell System + general Status awesomeness! I've discovered 3 small nicks in the bottom edge of the bass tonight (not happy!) and added a picture of them.
 16. here's my 2008 Alembic Rogue 4 string for sale (no trades sorry) It's in excellent condition with no issues. It's built with a mahogany core so it's not light (I'll check weight and confirm but I'm sure it's 10lbs +) The Alembic optional extras of curly redwood top and oval mother of pearl fretboard inlays. I think the curly redwood and slim shape give it great looks - imho one of the best looking Alembics that I've seen (just my opinion). Most important of all, this bass is capable of an absolutely huge tone! (that I think you'd probably expect from the more expensive Alembics). Here's the build spec from Alembic model name: Rogue model number: QLB4 top: Curly Redwood accent: Maple laminate, Purpleheart pinstripe body: Mahogany neck: 5-piece Maple and Purpleheart scale: 34" long fingerboard: Ebony inlays: mother of pearl ovals side markers: aluminum pickups: Alembic MXY4 controls: volume, pan, filter, Q-switch, bass cut/flat/boost, treble cut/flat/boost, mono output finish: Polyester gloss with satin neck originally made for: Bass World, UK birthday: July 17, 2008 I've struggled to find what I think is a fair market value for this so I'm going to ask £3000 and value your feedback/reactions.
