1. Bump for a lovely, unusual bass, as it's gone all quiet!
2. I'll make it a wee bit more tempting and say I'll pay for the courier!
3. OK, in answer to Karlfer's questions; Weight is just under 8lbs, and sorry JPJ, the truss rod adjusts from the heel
4. Haha! Go on, you know you want to, big saving on new!
5. Thanks for the comments chaps! No neck dive Karlfer as I've put a strap button on the neck plate, I'll weigh it tomorrow when I can find some scales. Yes I think it a fair price JPJ, I'm not a greedy man, and I could do with some readies as Mrs P wanted a new wood burner, and if she's happy, I'm happy! Cheers Roland, it is a very cool piece of kit.

He got fed up with Thunderbird necks snapping so the solution was to stick a Fender neck on a Thunderbird style body, hence the Fenderbird. Yes I know he favoured precisions, but this one has a lovely jazz profile neck. It's in lake placid blue and is just over two years old. I bought it from TommyK on here, who commissioned it (he sold it due to the imminent arrival of a baby). To buy it new, including shipping from the states and import duty would now cost about £1100 to £1200. It has a couple of dings on the lower horn, but other than that is in great condition. I would recommend coming to try it if you're interested, and I'll put the kettle on and break out the biscuits! 7. That lovely blue Cataldo's still here Karl…….
8.
Go for it. I would love to see a band cover this live. Has my vote. Dave
Then It's a shame you're in Lanark Dave, as I managed to persuade my lot to do it, and it's now one of the most popular songs in our set. We do have a fiddle instead of keys but it works ok. Recording it live this Thurs too! SAHB's was certainly the best version imho, Alex bought menace to it.
9. Oh dear Les, this sounds horribly familiar. I was supposed to have a bass delivered by Yodel last year. Tracked it into their Newton Abbot depot, but it never got to me. Two people in their depot admitted they had a problem with their system, and another one with stuff going missing. To cut a long story short, with some help from this site, the seller and I tracked down the bass which had already changed hands twice, and got it recovered by the police. Yodel still would not admit it was even missing! Two weeks later they finally admitted to plod that it had been nicked, which enabled me to get hold of it, but weren't in the slightest bit interested in doing anything about it. I will no longer buy any high value item online if it's going to be delivered by Yodel. Sorry, gone away a bit from the op, but I think you need to get onto Yodel real quick (and I feel better for that rant!). I doubt your troubles are anything to do with Gear4music
10. Geert has just bought my Genz Benz amp, and I have to say it was a very smooth and easy transaction. Deal in complete confidence with a top bloke
11. I've got a lovely Manson Merlin fretless. Had it from new in about '85. It's been re finished due to heavy wear, and could really do with being done again, but I like its lived in look. Also had its headstock glued back on by Hugh about 12 years back after it got knocked onto a radiator, but you'd never know unless you look closely. I'll try and get some pix up if any one's interested.
12. Thought I'd better put up some pics as I've referred to them in first post!
13. Just bought Ian's classic vibe jazz, very easy transaction and a good bloke to deal with. I know he's got some other gear up for grabs at the moment so buy with complete confidence.
14. Lovely lovely basses, and a new one will cost around £2300 (I saw a couple in Mansons today!) so have a bargain price bump
15. I've decided to put this up for sale again at a reduced price, as it really isn't getting any use since I acquired a Markbass TTE500, which just suits what my band does much better, especially since we changed our guitarist! Having said that, the Genz is a fantastic amp. Genz Benz shuttle 9.0 bass head. (900w at 4 ohms, 500w at 8 ohms.) In excellent condition, barring small scratch on underside near foot (see pics). Small enough to put in your gig bag or a laptop case. Fantastic clear sound, cuts through the mix really well. You're welcome to come and give it a try with your own cab, I'm near Exeter, in sunny Devon. I'll put the kettle on and break out the good biscuits! I've also got a new foot switch for this, used a couple of times only. Happy to post if you don't feel the need to try it. Amp and foot switch £450 posted.
