*READY TO GIG* (set up nicely!) *CAN DELIVER WITH A REASONABLE DISTANCE FROM AYLESBURY EN ROUTE TO WORK* This was built using Warmoth parts. Not by myself but I will give as much info as I know/can. The ‘branding’ is lacquered in but easy enough to remove and replace with your own. Set up nicely, sounds great, balances well and definitely would be quite expensive to do now using Warmoth (or any decent quality as parts/shipping costly). So here’s a chance to have a bargain and a great instrument in one go!!… It’s a lot of bass for the money. I do however understand it’s a punt but it only needs to be ‘discovered’. (and a bit of a one of a kind) I’ll try to answer your good questions. Hopefully I can add clear and helpful photos (or pm me for private emails) *Neck: 35” neck 5 piece bolt on (6 bolts) maple/ Purpleheart with 24 large frets and black Gotoh tuners in a 3/2 position, bone nut, single truss rod (headstock accessible) and Ebony fingerboard. There are also side markers in ‘between frets’ position. *Body: Solid maple with stringers that match the neck. (Stringers look like Purpleheart) to me, but correct me if I’m wrong). Deep neck pocket holds the neck securely (6 bolts) with no movement at all!! So at the moment the spacing is set at 75mm total (string centre to string centre). Average string spacing thus between 18-19mm. Can be reduced by at least 5 mm or increased by a bit less (due to max width of the neck of 78mm at the highest point). *Electronics: Passive with Volume/Tone (switchable)/4 way rotary switch (single/single/series/parallel) with side mounted Jack socket (even this has Purpleheart). The controls are recessed into the body and there is no back cavity (don’t ask as I don’t know how he did it). *Single MM style pickup with dual coils (switchable). *Marleaux branded ETS (German) bridge with quick release slots and lockable/adjustable saddles. (For string spacing/height/intonation). *Sound wise I’d say between a G&L and Musicman (with the described variations). *Great balance between strings and the B is very good (35” is my standard). *The overall condition is good with signs of use but no major damages. I also looked at the controls a bit more and it’s really clever if you’re into that sort of thing. The Tone control is actually a rotary switch that dials in tone in or completely out. The pickup switch is also a rotary switch with 4 positions: Rear coil/Front coil/Both coils parallel/Both coils series. All positions sounds great and makes it quite a versatile instrument. (The pot is a bit scratchy but maybe from lack of use).

I got the new bass but still held on to the Aria as a back up and a travel instrument. I also now have an travel bass🫣 So something must give…….. Now it’s time for someone else to put this to playing duties and enjoy😊 Still in very good condition (look at the pics…only one obvious blemish) Now with professional mods read below.👇 Description: *It was a passive bass but I was missing my East UK. active uni-preamp sound and flexibility so I decided to upgrade the electronics and so added an East mid stack and Bass/Treble stack. Quality!! *I also changed the tuners to the better Schallers for more stable tuning. Quality!! *Better quality & longer string tree/post added to cover all the strings. *Shielded the cavity to make it more resistant to hum/buzz. *Japanese high mass brass bridge replaced the lighter original. This tightened up the high end, notably the slap sound (especially with the active electronics). Quality!! * New Overwater brand strings! *A decent gig bag is also included in the sale. So now it owes me a bit more than the asking price, which I will not cover but at least get close hopefully. Really good sounding, plays easily, looks great and can be used in most situations! **Collection from Aylesbury unless the buyer willing to cover courier arrangement/cost.** I’m willing to deliver if it coincides with a gig journey or otherwise reasonable. Been playing my ACG fretless and it’s splendid! This is no slouch though just heavier and darker. The neck is no cheapie!!! Solid, straight and true…
