1. I've seen him with a P a J and a Ric on youTube but not seen the Hagstrom. Lemmy listed a Hagstrom in his itinery on one album though i've never seen him play one! C
2. It scares me when I see all its giblets exposed!! When you say 'medium' action, did you have it set up like that? Looks really nice though. Where abouts in Leeds are you? C
3. BUMP! Just bought the head of Des and this cab sounds superb. He's a nice bloke too!! C

Come and try it if you want. You're not too far away. cheers Des
Mmmmm Thats a bit more than I was looking to pay ( not saying its not worth it mind.. ) If it was a bit less - its just what I'm after.. Where abouts in W.Yorks are you?
6. Hi Is the head still up for grabs or has it been sold? If still for sale, how much for head only?? C
7. Hi Spongebob Am quite interested in what you don't like about it.. I've been deliberating on whether to buy one but can't make my mind up.. C
8. Looks really nice.. don't suppose you've got any more pics?? Re nut width, being as its cropped up - its the same as my RBX Yam. Is this alot less than American P bass and bigger than a standard Jazz?? Going on what Clarky said. Has it been set up recently? Regards C
9. Hi Any idea how much to ship to South Yorkshire? C
10. I've seen/used this amp (Ashdown) and its a beaut.. Have a bump on me! C
11.
Cheers Bill Thing is, I've decided I don't want to be in a band, so this thread is now kind of redundant But thanks very much for all of your replies - much appreciated
DOH !!!
12. Hi Saul.. As above. I was in your position 6 months ago. I bought a used 180W combo which is OK for rehearsals but Its struggling to keep up in many gig situations. Its also bloody heavy for where we rehearse, down and, later up, a long flight of steps. I would echo seperates ( it gives you more options as time goes by) and is ( slightly ) lighter. 300W should be more than enough. C
13. I've got an RBX760 - not sure how old it is but got it second hand off fleabay. It was top of the range in its day but there doesn't seem to be many around lately. I absolutely love it. It does everytrhing I need and I keep getting compliments about my sound. The action is low and the neck is very fast compared to most of the basses I've played over the last 20 or 30 years. I think its latest generation is something like RBX774? Can't recommend it highly enough! C
14. Was just wondering... Mines superb in rehearsals, great sound - just how I want it, plenty loud enough. I've done a few gigs with it, the last in a large vennue ( 250/300 seater) with a 2X10 extension cab and through a (moderate) PA. We're unlikely to do anything as big in the near future. Although plenty loud enough in sound check, it got lost in the background at times during the gig and we had to really ramp up the PA at half time. In saying that I was only at 2/3 max on the amp. I don't think it was the volume but couldn't cut through the rest of the band. I've had a compressor suggested but was wondering if others had a similar problem. C
15. I have one of these amps. I've used it on a few gigs of various sizes. Are you using it for gigs or practice only - just curious to know your opinions. C
16.
I have my Ashdown combo amp for sale.... In perfect condition, not a mark, as it's seen bedroom use only as a practice amp. Bought for £220 last year - will sell for £120 ono all up for quick sale! Collection only though.... PM me for more details: Here it is....
Thats a very good price for a versatile practice/gigging amp. I have the EB-15 which has done sterling work for me so far. C
17. I'm using an EB-180 -15 as a first amp at present. Its fine for rehearsals ( bit on the heavy side for the cellar steps!) but is much appreciated by the band for its sound (eq) variety - we're playing Rock /Blues. I've used it for 2 gigs 1 in a medium pub/club venue ( its first outing) with no pa and it blew the 2 guitarists away though I found the tone got muddy as the volume incresed and I noticed I was hitting alot of red lights on the vu! We've just done a charity gig Di through a meaty pa and the sound was awesome. I'm using a mid range active Yamaha and the sound stayed nice and 'toppy' which we like. Cost me £100 off ebay 4 months ago and ain't blown up yet !
18. Damnation... Thats just what I'm looking for as an extention cab for my combo, but you're a long way away. Don't suppose you travel around in your job.....
