Is using the rolled up ball of sticks how you get such a lustre?

Lol. I’m already talking to the fella who makes the knobs and the bridge… 😜
Yup! I believe only 4 string bridge just now, but hoping for a 5 sometime in the future.

Pressure moulded from what? The real ones are machined aluminium.
Urethane I think. Yeah I know the real ones are aluminum.

May I ask, where did you get those knobs? I could use some…
I came across a guy that pressure moulds them. They aren’t cheap though

@Chopthebasshas there been any more progress on this one? Looks amazing so far!
No more progress! I’m still waiting for the pickups to be finished.

That's very nice work you are doing! So you mind sharing what lacquer are you using? That's a nice glossy finish you have got there!
Thanks! I’m using WURTH Euroclear 2K. I use the 4:1 version and not the 2:1
it builds very well, and buffs great.

The birdseye in that fretboard is looking lovely with some finish. I do love a bit of birdseye.
It’s my favourite fingerboard wood 👍

If I'm going to be picky, I'd say those aren't the neck inlays I'd have chosen. But hey, that's a bit like complaining that the road in the background of the Mona Lisa is a bit too bendy. It's a beautiful thing of, well, beauty.
I was in two minds whether to go with a dark fingerboard. It was almost going to be ebony with simple dots. But the birdseyes were speaking to me!

Are you cutting the top, and using the wood to cover pickups, then?
No, I thought about cutting wood covers before glueing the top on, but I’m making ebony covers. Mainly to mimic Wal as close as I can.

Does it need pickup holes? You could come from the back like @Andyjr1515did with the Psillyos...
You mean rear mount the pickups? I have done that, but with this build the strings will be too far to work well.

My plan at the start was to make it blue, but the maple had quite a dark red/brown hue, and a test piece didn’t take stain the way I wanted.
