  1. It’s been a while, as I’ve been patiently waiting for the pickups to be made and delivered. ! they are finally here, so the project continues!
  2. Nice detail where fingerboard grain continues thru truss rod cover. Very nice build.
  3. I’m working on an amp less rig, but can also drive a power amp. Lots of memories, and also song mode.
  4. I decided I’m a single coil guy, so feel free to buy my 5-string!!!
  5. I have a similar one, but 5 string. Lovely basses
  6. Hey, does anyone have a 5 string Thumb through neck? I need some body dimensions. I tried finding a good image and using scale length as a reference for scaling, but it doesn’t always work because of image distortion. please message me if you can help! thank you
  7. It’s going to be turquoise/blue burst high gloss. It’ll really pop!
  8. I too remember when they were affordable and you didn’t have to wait 4 years for one! Don’t ever sell them!
  9. I wish I was able to say ‘one of my Wals’ 😆
  10. You can get router cutters that are 0.5mm diameter, and I used to cut covers using these before I got the laser. It’s slow going with such a small cutter, and requires numerous passes!
  11. I cut the cavity cover using a laser. I did this before glueing the wood to the body.
  12. It’s going to have some serious punch with those pickup locations!
  13. Hi, I attached the ash bass by mistake! But here’s a pic of the bass..
  14. A bit of fine sanding and the neck fits.
  15. I think these are images I shouldn’t have deleted..
  16. Ah I realized I deleted some attachments on this thread. Doh! Don’t think I can re-attach images to those messages
  17. I ran out of allowable upload data, so had to delete some attachments! Can you see any?
  18. Yup, that’s the plan. I’m still waiting for the pickups and once I know the fit nicely I’ll do the copper. I run a ground from each pickup cavity, and bridge, and then ground everything to cavity shielding. It’s the only way to do it effectively.
  19. Ebony trim piece added at the truss rod access
  20. My plan at the start was to make it blue, but the maple had quite a dark red/brown hue, and a test piece didn’t take stain the way I wanted.
