  1. This is now SOLD Got a chap collecting it this week. Cheers, Jamie
  2. IF the 55-01 is here next week i may well take it. Well, if my yammy goes, i shall anyway
  3. I made mistake in the title, i'm after £40 - not £45 i can see where the confusion has came from
  4. Aye, £40 all in - because i'm so skint right now, i needed a quick sale! Looks SPF now chaps.
  5. Hey folks, In my desperate attempts to scrape together some cash, i'm selling this rather nifty piece of kit. Here is the gen that i ripped off of the web: Allows you to convert your old vinyl collection directly to CD or MP3 with the included recording software (Audacity). (no special drivers needed) * The ION USB turntable includes quick and simple EZ Ripper software for PC only and advanced audacity software for both Mac/PC recording. * Switchable phono/line level output for connecting to any home stereo with phone, CD or auxiliary (AUX) inputs. * Compatible with any software that supports USB audio input sound cards. (I've used it in Adobe Audition 3 and Ableton!) * Cartridge with stylus 45 adapter. * 33 1/3 and 45 RPM. * Software allows for 78 RPM conversion. * Adjustable anti-skating control for increased stereo balancing. * High speed vinyl recording. * Line level RCA outputs. * 1/8in stereo line input so you can digitize music from cassettes or other sources. * Dust cover. * Computer requirements: PC running Windows 98, 2000, XP, Vista. Mac running OS9 or greater, one available USB1.1 port. * Size (H)18 (W)45 (D)36cm. It may come as a surprise to some of you that the quality of this is actually rather good, i made some pretty good recordings of old Tim Buckley records that i wanted to put on my ipod. I ran them through some processors in Audition and they sound really good. Anyway, this is virtually new, it is in it's box. I used it to rip a few vinyls and then realised, i didn't have any more worth ripping haha - so here it is. I bought this 6 months ago for about £85 i think, but i'll let it go for £40 all in. Cheers, Jamie
  6. I shall get pics up tomorrow. If the notion takes me to fix it, then i might do so. I guess all i'd really have to do would be fix it with a couple of sliders and make new ends for it after all - i'm just in dire need of some money right now, hence the impulsive sale so to speak.
  7. Hey folks, I bought these about a year ago, but hardly used them. Really great sound though (they receive great reviews) they're just surplus to my requirements now. I bought them for about £80 or £90, i can't remember tbh. I just googled them, and got some info: The main features of the M-Audio StudioPro 3 monitors include: Affordable two-way desktop reference monitor system with studio-grade sound quality in a portable package 3.25 inch low-frequency drivers; 1inch high-frequency drivers Self-powered Remarkably accurate frequency response and imaging Advanced crossover design Custom-tuned wood cabinet Magnetic shielding prevents computer/video monitor interference Vented port design for added bass Transportable, compact design is ergonomic and flexible Internal standing wave acoustic absorption for greater efficiency Bass Boost switch Factory programmed for worldwide use RCA rear-panel inputs; convenient front-panel 1/8 inch (3.5mm) inputs Includes directional stands to optimize listening “sweet spot” Frequency Response: 100Hz - 20kHz (+/- 3 dB) Dynamic Range (Maximum Signal-to-Noise Ratio): >80dB (typical, A-weighted) Crossover frequency: 2.3kHz Input impedance: 10K Ohms unbalanced Input connectors: left and right line input connectors (RCA) Protection: RF interference, output current limiting, over temperature, turn on/off transient, subsonic filter Indicator: blue power LED ring around on/off/volume knob on front panel Power Requirements: 100-120V~50/60Hz, 220~240V~50/60Hz; powered via detachable 2-conductor line cord Cabinet: vinyl-laminated MDF Size: 7.9 x 5.5 x 5.9 inches Weight: 8.8 lbs./pair (approx., without packing) Anyway, in the same google search i found one place selling them for £67 excl. postage. With that i think £40 all in isn't a bad deal Cheers, Jamie
  8. Well mate, if you really want to. I'll get some pics, so you know exactly what we're dealing with I've been as honest as i can and the price is obviously reflective of the condition. PM to arrange further.
  9. Hey folks, Well, i've had this thing sitting about for a while now. It is an old ARP Quartet, otherwise known as a Siel Orchestra made in 1979. These things were used by Massive Attack and 808 state (according to VSI) Anyway, this one has seen better days. The ends will need replaced because the chip board got knackered in transit. One of the keys is cracked, on the surface, but still functions. A couple of the sliders aren't working (master volume and decay/release), despite that i've had sound come out of this thing, so it does work! - but you'll have to fix the slider in order for it to actually be properly playable/giggable. The other sliders and buttons are all functioning, if a bit sticky. Its not a great synth in all honesty and in this condition it certainly isn't worth much. The string sounds are lovely, but that is about it for my taste anyway. I'll let it go for £40 picked up in Edinburgh. I might take the notion to repair it and maybe mod it here and there, would be quite a cool string machine. Cheers for looking, Jamie
  10. I'll sell this now, £400 collected in Edinburgh. Or i reckon i could maybe ship it fully insured via courier for around £25. I'm needing the money to invest in another bass, think i'll make a return to 6 string for a wee while. So i'll take trades/Part-ex (with money added by me up to £200) for a six string.
  11. Sold now - Mr Pablo picked it up tonight. Mods close.
  12. hey folks, Not got much info on these. This one i bought from warwickhunt, along with his bassbase head. Good cab, nice sound but i'm just changing a lot of my gear right now to reignite my interest since i stopped playing. That is an old picture, but never mind - it gives you the idea at least It comes with a nice cover too. I'm after £80 - i dunno if i can post this... it is bloomin' heavy, so pick up from Leith/Edinburgh preferred.
  13. Can't say i recognise that, looks quite nice though! I can add cash btw folks, up to £200. I'm really after the Warwicks, hence i realise i might have to add a couple of hundred quid. I also might have more luck selling it and buying a warwick, but i'll hold out for now and see what kind of interest i get All PM's have been answered, thanks to everyone for their offers thus far.
  14. I'd really just like to do a trade my good man, not after a sale. Although for forum rules and etiquette i think the region of £400 would be the top given the economy and such I am rather terrible at valuations though, so if you have a better idea feel free to suggest.
  15. Bump with some pics! Please note, as you can see in the pic, the battery cover is missing. It doesn't effect the bass much, i've never personally had the battery come out on me.
  16. Hey Folks, Well if you're reading this, you'll know this thread is gauging potential trade interest in my Yamaha Attitude Custom. I've owned the bass just over a year now, originally bought from a close friend in the US. The shipping and charges just about killed me, but ultimately i had myself the best bass i had owned to date for, what i considered at the time, a fair price However, due to a rugby injury near the start of last year i was out of bass playing for a fair wee while. It has just been more recently that i've rediscovered the bass and got back into a band. Since then i've just fancied a change, to further reignite my bass playing interest - thus we have this trade thread. As you'll note, this is a feeler, as i said this has been one of the best basses i've played an it was bought from a good friend - with this i am rather attached to it, so if sentimentality gets the better of me i might withdraw it. None the less lets proceed with all the gen: Made in Taiwan around 1992 I reckon Neck: Maple Fingerboard: Maple (No Scalloping) Body: Alder Scale length: 33 and 7/8ths Nut Width: 43mm Fingerboard radius: 10" Nut: Bone Frets: Dunlop #6100 (The top 5 frets have 'thinner' fret wire) Bridge: BPZ-4 Colour: Blue It is my understanding that the woofer underneath the pickguard is DiMarzio although the P-pup isn't named (although they sure pack a satisfying tone) Worth noting as well that this model also has piezo transducers in the bridge. As i'm sure you'll be aware it has 2 outputs and a mono/stereo switch on the back. I can confirm that both outputs work and that bi-amping can produce some seriously nice sounds. Primarily i found it helped tremendously in producing a very usable distortion by keeping the low end on one channel, whilst the distortion goes on the other - unfortunately i never did have two SVT's at any one time to use this to the extent Sheehan does. Unlike the Ltd's this model doesn't have scallops - a feature that i've found i don't get on with anyway. None the less the lack of the scalloped fretboard, D-Tuner DiMarzio P-Pups does not make this an entirely inferior model, well at least i don't like to think so anyway. Of course it is not quite as desirable, but it is a damn good bass in it's own right! Bear in mind you're also getting the American made, G&G Yamaha Case with this A rather spiffy black Tolex one at that! Naturally i will get pics up - albeit these won't be of the highest quality due to the crappyness of my camera - but they'll hopefully detail the very few imperfections as well as the generally very good condition of the bass. Cheers for looking and reading at least some of the above Jamie Perhaps i should mention i'd be looking at trades/part-ex's for Warwicks or W.H.Y
  17. Just going to put a word in for fede, i've just dealt with him, unfortunately paypal buggered up the other wise very smooth transaction. I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him, top bloke... plus he understood my Scottish accent on the phone, something that some English people have trouble with, never mind and Italian! If only i was after a jazz right now... might get back to you haha
  18. I've persevered with it, and all that is left for me to do is send them the tracking number of the bass amp. Thus far it has actually been quite plane sailing...worryingly.
