I've got an ABM810 and man...it rocks! The GK 1001rb also helps though :brow: it's punchy, yet warm and sometimes can be a bit boomy depending on the amp settings really but overall it's a great cab, nice looks, manouverable and great price. If you go 2nd hand you can grab one pretty cheap. I was on the market for a 810 and didn't want to spend a fortune on Ampeg & Co so I went with Ashdown and I'm pretty happy PS - the metal corner balls are not very strong or maybe it's just me that still belives that a bass cab must be able to handle abuse! lol

Just to awake this thread again :brow: 1st - Does this technique have a name or is just 'Clack'? I use it quite a lot actually...but my instrument seems to be set up differently, I use a Jazz bass with HIGH action and standard gauge roundwounds...I believe the 'sectret' is in the attack (I'm quite heavy handed, must admit) and playing closer to the neck. I do this finger style. Just for curiosity, does anybody do this with a pick?

I bought a new strap, a nice leather one, I quite like it, but there's a problem - it's too short!!...it's actually the standard size for leather straps but I play lower than that so...is there any kind of extension I can get without having to sell this one and buy another strap (size XXL preferably!)? Is there a place where I can get an extension like the one used on leather straps (the smaller ajustable bit) but longer? (I'm particularly worried about how I'm gonna trim the edges...) so basically, after contacting the eBay sellers...the one they have in gold (the one nick uses) and seems solid, they don't have in stock and won't have, the second one, the guy sent me more pics...it's actually not solid in the end bit where you fit the strings...I think I'll have to go with a Gotoh after all
