5.
Crikey Alex you have been busy. To the OP, my answer is the same as last time and the time before.
Fair enough ...and Alex, thanks for the link mate, good stuff! now...does anyone have this rig or played with it that can give an opinion??
 6.
You've only just bought it. Learn how to get the best out of it before you start adding/changing things. Alex
Just doing some research, I'm not getting it NOW, various opinions are always welcome
 7. I have a GK 1001RBII head and a 410RBX. I want to add another cab. I know this has been discussed 1000's times before but I was wondering if anyone have experience with this particular rig. I'm looking for low end and obviously, volume. Play heavy rock. Here are both cabs specs. Alternative cabs ideas welcome too! 8.
Hey lads and lasseens of basschat!! I need to get me some form of bass ampage for college as im sick to death of not playing plugged in(bringing up the rig isnt really an option here). So im basicly looking for somthing small, cheap and cheerfull to keep me going during the week. Im living on campus in college(pretty well soundproofed though) and i wont be or practicing with it so it doesnt need to be insanely loud. Im just looking for somthing that sounds half decent, and not sterlile sounding if possible. I play a lot of different styles of music, from metal to pop(doing the whole covers band thing at the moment) to grove orientated stuff like jamiroquai so its gotta not crack up at downtunings and it should be able to handle a low b string. So, any tips? Im kinda looking for the bass's answer to the microcube(and yes i know they make microcube bass amps, but there not exactly amazing from what ive heard).
Marshall MB 15 is alright to play bedroom level. Quite versatile as well, 2 channels, and very cheap, you can get one secondhand for a very low price, just do some research
 9. Well...I'm really looking forward to play with it in the studio, hopefully it will cut through better than the peavey and don't need to push it so hard.
 10. I bought a GK 1001RBII + 410 RBX (400w 8ohms) today!!! ;D Still waiting for arrival though. I was wondering, I play with a Peavey Max 450 + Peavey 410 TVX 4ohm on my rehearsal room...do you think I'll notice a big difference in the sound, will my rig sound louder/better? 8)

 13. AHAHAH that's an insightful reply!
Ah ha! This is an old favourite (try searching this sub-forum for similar posts - there are many). Just to save you several hours of your life that you'll never have again, here's a quick synopsis of what may happen next: Some will say it's perfectly acceptable and sounds fine. Others will say it's a bad idea because they feel you shouldn't mix driver sizes and it will sound awful. If you're very lucky (or unlucky), a few experts will get into a flame war using terms incomprehensible to many. At this point, your thread may move somewhat off-topic. Coming back to planet Earth, it may be suggested you sell your 4x10 and instead stack a column of 2 2 x10 cabs on their sides for 'enhanced dispersion' and to 'minimise comb filtering'. Someone else will point you at their 2x12 cab in the 'for sale' section on the grounds that it's better than a 4x10. Just when you're losing the will to live, you'll get a suggestion that you just give it a try and see what you think of the sound, while ensuring that you comply with connection and impedance recommendations when running multiple cabs (see sticky). I'd go with the latter.
14. Does mixing 2 different GK cabs (410RBH with 115RBX or vice versa) affects the sound in a positive or negative way? Any thoughts on mixing cabs?

 16.
You need to decide whether you want to standardise on IEC or 13-Amp as your preferred mains connector. If you go to IEC you can get a 1U unit with plenty of outlets however it means: - you have to change the connectors on all of your mains leads o buy additional ones - you can't use 13-amp wall warts without making some IEC to 13A socket adaptors and mounting them - you can't plug anything else into it unless it has an IEC plug If you go to 13A you can get 1 1U unit with /8 outlets however it means - it sits in the back of your rack and just works - you don't have any pretty lights but you have an extra 1U in the front of rack - you can plug in wall-worts - you can plug in anything that as a UK standard mains lead
Thanks, that's quite insightful! 13a is a 'normal' power strip right? Is there some sort of 'enhaced' version you would recommend? I thought i could use a power conditioner/ strip as a 'normal' power strip and just plug stuff in?!?
 17.
The lights! The lights!
not really but it might help though! I know we're quite alright in the UK but i'll also use it as a power strip, in this case it would be a 'protected' power strip. Does anyone own one of these or other that want to recommend?
 18. Thinking about getting one for my rack. I've checked the Samson PS10 and Furman MX-8, both quite cheap. Are they any good? Any recommendations on other models or brands? Not looking to spend a fortune though. Cheers!
