TC Unitune - best £18 I've ever spent.

😂
If it has been aged to look like a '66 then the hardware will definitely not be shiny and new.
The headstock decals look like they've been switched out so I'm guessing it's not a 'Fender' CS?

Finally got around to this and installed the flush mount versions. I used the stock screws that came with the bass to make sure everything was secure.
Ordered some DR Fat Beams too.

Here is my Sandberg with the flush mount locks:

Sam Rivers has always had a great tone.
Dirk Lance (another Warwick user) is worthy of a mention.

Slow day? 😂

Disagree.

A Gibson Ripper would be a good choice too.

Nano looks decent also:
Has anyone tried this - specifically with an active bass?

And this leads me to my second point -
Why are US strings so expensive here? DR/La Bella/SIT etc.
It's cheaper for me to order strings from the US even with the high postage costs!
Fat Beams dropped to £22 on A****n last week including postage.
Thank you very much!

Huge Sunbeams fan - I have used them on a variety of basses playing multiple styles of music. Long lasting, easy to play thanks to the roundcore and intonate really well. Expensive but worth it.

Here is an example on a Warwick:

I'm after a new tuner that can be pedal board mounted - which of these would you go for?

Released 30 years ago today...
Nirvana’s “Nevermind,” The Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Blood, Sugar, Sex, Magik,” The Pixies “Trompe Le Monde” and A Tribe Called Quest’s “The Low End Theory.”
Soundgarden's "Badmotorfinger" was also supposed to be released on this date but was postponed by two weeks due to 'production problems'.

Funniest ones are people watching the BeeGees for the first time and being shocked that they aren’t black.
I was more surprised at the fact that they weren't a group of goats.

Not an attack on you (I know most BC members are quite easily upset!) but the whole idea around reaction videos is just so... I don't know. I think there are much better ways to spend your time than watching those sort of videos.

Reaction videos... *sigh*.

I'm taking a break from music but was thinking of starting up something again next year.
The ads on JMB are beyond depressing...
Guys who I've jammed with still trying to make something work but they're the ones with classic excuses such as:
"£5 is too much for practice."
"My SO/child/dog has had an accident so I can't make it tonight."
"My car needs a lot of petrol and I'm choosing that over practice."
Argh!!!

Don't go into an audition putting yourself or your playing down.
This!
My favourite players are those who are quiet and are humble but they don't put themselves down. I've jammed with some amazing musicians who have zero drama and make being in a band fun.
New Blackstar Valve pedals

I remember when the very first Blackstar pedals came out around ten years ago.
I purchased the overdrive and was not impressed at how much bass it cut.
Sold it to my guitarist who loved it!
