I’ve seen them a few times now, last time, Jesse was on a P-bass He swapped between his two Sereks, not had a listen to the different tracks yet (I did some short videos) but I suspect one is tuned down to D I believe he has used Darkglass as I’ve seen him in one of their promo vids, but usually it’s Ampeg on precious gigs, although it was Orange for both bass and guitar on this gig for which he is now an endorsee https://orangeamps.com/artist/jesse-phillips/ he was also using a few effects, defiantly an envelope filter and possibly some kind of synth or fuzz, but couldn’t see couple of full live sets on Bandcamp that are worth a listen, especially the Wichita show and a short set they did for Spotify is on, errr, Spotify, that’s really good Tony

Was at Brudenell social club in Leeds last night for St Paul and the Broken Bones, it was exceptional managed to snap a shot of Jesse Phillips Serek mid westerns at the end Great sound Tony

Was at old Trafford for RHCP last night great show, really enjoyed it had a quick chat with Thundercat as he watched the RHCP’s Proper nice chap!

Hi can anybody recommend a dust cover that will drop over a bass on a stand? Got a log burner in a room where a few of my basses are and the dust from the fire gets everywhere! cheers Tony

G&L SB-2 Tribute Not had this long, but in middle of a big clear out The sonic blue, white pickguard, and maple fingerboard gives a really cool vintage look, width at the nut is 38mm, set up nice so plays well and sounds great Has a Kiogon fitted with stacked vol/tone for each p/up (standard is vol/vol), Previous owner made a ramp for it, which works very well and is easily removed weight - 10lb Bass is in Excellent condition

Monophonics, a week today

I’ve not posted this for a while, for those who haven’t seen it! 1999 musicman Sterling, was pearl blue, but ended up with a ‘lockdown’ refinish in sonic blue with a new pickgaurd its not perfect, mostly due to some issues I had with the grain in the wood, but it’s good enough for me and looks great, in my opinion! its a tad heavy, but plays so well! can’t believe the prices people are asking for these, they don’t come up for sale very often though!
